Not a walk-up win at all. Gold Coast have a good system, and players are finally learning to play to it. Midfield battle will be very, very good. Our forwards will be the difference.

  • Brown is looking like he will challenge for the Coleman medal.
  • Fritsch the freak is difficult to manage.
  • Spargo and ANB work so hard and run their opponents into the ground.
  • Kozzie is primed to tear a game apart.

On top of this, it is impossible to counter both Trac and Bang-Bang Oliver running forward at stoppages.

Dees by 28 points in a wet grind.

This is a danger game, particularly early in the season in wet and greasy conditions. They are hard but not slick at the contest and have some forwards with tricks at the fall of the ball that can be tough when on. Our maturity and elite endurance should allow us to come over the top but anyone that thinks this is not a danger game early in the season may end up with a surprise.

And there's the old dland I've come to know and love.😁 but I'm with you.

But it's hard to gauge opposition in the early stages I guess.

Enjoy the game lrfe.

I am a trident member and don't have access to away games. Anyone have spare tickets I can use for the game?

Happy to offer my Trident seats for home games in return as I only go to 2-3 MCG games a year.  I live in Brisbane.

This is exactly the sort of match the dees lose - beat a top team and then drink our own bathwater, get ahead of ourselves and falter the next week against bottom team.

Hold on a minute... how did that post from 2019 appear? Weird tech issue alert

Your poor old Uncle Bitter had planned to give Metricon a boost by attending in person. Unfortunately ........you know.. circumstances changed..... and spectating shall take place in the The Manor's modest theatrette. Hopefully in the company of an immodest maid.

While the Suns have some very handy up and comers , and may even, finally, become competitive they will be no match for the Dees.

A comfortable 39 point victory beckons.

I’m not panicked. We should win. I am just a realist that the Suns up there on a slippery night is not a walk in the park.

Beautiful day on the Goldy so far today.

Fingers crossed for a dry run at them and no stupid lightening stoppages as storms are predicted tonight.

Doing some obligatory shopping with the other half before we head off for a long boozy lunch somewhere.

Ubers pre-booked as public transport to Carrara is a hot mess.

Go Dees

Gaahh stop making me feel nervous. I was sweet as a nut last week but seeing all of you nervous nelly's...

I've said it in other threads but I'm mainly just fascinated to see how we handle each and every game and in game situation. Last week as I mentioned I said to my mate "this is a massive challenge, can't wait to see how we look to wrest control back and we did it with aplomb. This week, as others have said out ability to keep teams to low scores will hold us in good steed most weeks and this week will be no different. They don't have the defence or maturity in the mids to stick with us the whole game. Dees by 30 - 45.

Hopefully we’ve prepared for this game the same way we did against GC last year - by spending 12 hours trapped on a plane.

We haven’t dropped a game since that fateful day on the tarmac.

There was a patch issued in September, seems to have fixed things right up.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
