Is everyone OK? Living in the Japans, earthquakes are pretty regular, but it must have been a real surprise for those not used to them. 😳

Yep. Not sure if the ‘Cat-reaction’ scale is a thing, but mine almost got off the bed!

Just when you thought Victorians were copping enough already you get an earthquake.

I would still blame Dan Andrews.

The earthquake's all good. Just what we needed to get rid of the Norm Smith Curse.

I was at school in 1964 when the Alaskan earthquake struck and it was a doozy. Coincidentally, our teacher was out of class for a little while and we were mucking around near his equipment at the back of the room when one of us slipped and banged on the shelf which caused the needle of his baragraph to go crazy. Teacher came in, saw the graph and spent the rest of the day bragging to the staff that he'd captured the earthquake on his equipment. There was also an earthquake in Buchan, East Gippsland in 1964 so I always connect the year with earthquakes. This is now the icing on quake!

'morning all,

If you just felt earthquake shaking if would be really useful to the brilliant *cough* researchers at Geoscience Australia  if you could fill in a 'felt report' when you get the time.

Cheers, and stay safe!

Near mt buller , ski gods angry no dees supporters skiing

It was the stampede of Demon supporters heading home in their 4 wheel BMW's that caused it.

( By the way, apparently the epicenter was at Licola, a small town which is at the gateway of a gradual ascent to Lake Tarli Karn, Mount Tamborith, Mount Wellington, and Wonongatta. AS the crow flies, it might be 35 k, but to drive to Mount Buller from there  makes it a 4 hour, 179 to 205 K journey.)

Mine was very rattled. My wife and our dog were on a walk nearby and didn't feel a thing...Though she heard a roar which she assumed was a nearby train...

The game is ours.
We have never lost a GF in the days following a 5.8 earthquake, while in lockdown over Covid, in the week of protestors taking over the city and West Gate Bridge, while the Premier is missing, thought  fled to China.

I thought the rise of the demons would coincide with earthquakes, world wide pandemics, environmental climate changes and rioting on the street.

Reckon it is a great sign. bring on Armageddon

Anyone living in Victoria likely felt an earthquake about 15 minutes ago. Apparently 5.6 on the Richter scale with its epicentre 33 km south of Mt Buller. But that last fact is not the omen. Perhaps others may also recall that on Brownlow Medal night 2000, Melbourne also had a minor earth tremor. And how did that week work out?

Get lost Mfcss board member, are we playing the 2000 Essendon  side back from the past in a time machine

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
