Lid firmly back on

They could play, for a thousand years...

And Port will NEVER, make the GF!

Rozee is going to love watching the review of this. Hopefully there are no shadows around to frighten him.

Port cannot handle the ball.
Someone here said earlier that Port have “wet the bed”

They are still doing it. The crowd are stunned

To beat the dogs you need pressure, port simply not up for the fight and haven’t been all year

How many top 4, and top 8 teams has Port beaten this year?

Hannan thinks hes Charlie Spargo !

Good one Port. At least put up a fight. Dogs will have two weeks off to rest up too, so guys like Bont will get over their niggles.

Not happy about playing Dogs in the grand final. They’re the only team in the 8 who beat us properly this year. And they’ve got the umpires on their side…

Good lord! Port look worse than the Cats!

The least Port could do is cause a bit of damage

Lycett is a mongrel, so is Dixon.  At least they could cause some damage.

Is this Hinkley's last match?

No chance of that Stiffy. They are barely in the frame.
A smashing might put some pressure on Hinkley

The last team to beat us is the Bulldogs.

And that’s all they’re gonna get.

Just talked to Chris Scott, apparently some of the Port players have a cold. So you know, fair enough

They had 4 wins against the top 8, but two of them were Essendon and GWS, the worst two sides.

They beat Sydney and the Dogs in the final round.

They were 0-3 against the top 4.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
