POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Geelong

Unbelievable, thank you MFC, what a game. The emotions I and my family feel for this club and even moreso through Covid lockdown you have given us so much.

Monkey off the back, to win the minor premiership in Geelong where the demolition occurred and for our caption to win the game after the siren it was the best script.

Job half done, let's bring the same intensity and string 3 games together like that.

Well done MFC. I love our club!

Oliver has the 3 votes and the Brownlow and the AFLCA for sure now.

Not sure about the Brownlow given the vagaries of its polling, but he HAS to have sewn up the AFLCA. Bont surely not polling this week.  Clarry was a monster tonight.

@Mr Steve

I was positive as I could be at half time and again at 3/4 time. But you post at the last break that we would make up a 6 goal deficit took being positive to the next level. Think it’s the post I have enjoyed the most since I joined demonland. Well done sir

I second that. Great work @Mr Steve

Why did I stop watching in the second quarter!

Clayton Oliver is an absolute champion. If he wins the brownlow it will have been well and truly deserved.

Nothing better than beating Geelong in this way.

I turned it off too... it was too painful... but luckily I turned it back on at 3 quarter time!!!

I dont even care.

This is the best come from behind win ever.

I started brewing beer at 10am so I had my first beer at 10am, I’m now on the whisky and I’m shaking like a leaf. Seriously what a finish. And scarily we could play so much better but I’m loving the end and bring on the heart attack finals!

Clarry really does will the ball into his hands.  When we need him to step up he seems to find a way to get hold of it.  I've been pretty critical of his goal-kicking, but he's still winning us games even if he doesn't hit the goals as often as he should.  I've loved his last few weeks.

A lot a people need to take back their angry, hate filled posts

This 100%.

It actually made me disgusted the stuff I saw at HT. There is venting, but then there is just, overexaggerated awful comments.

I hope they take no enjoyment out of tonight, or our finals campaign.

We were , jumping up and down, shouting , crying, you name it!

That was one of the the best Captains  performances I’ve ever seen by Maxy.

That last quarter was gargantuan.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres
