Can someone enlighten me as to why Kozzie doesn’t get more midfield minutes? First game of the season rotate plenty through the centre. He was the main reason we rolled the dogs. Gets rubbed out, signs an extension and we play him exclusively forward and he is constantly a non factor……?

Wow what a finish, not sure May is the best use of the pill when we need to kill quarters and end of game. Both end of 3rd and end of game makes poor decisions.

I thought he was good today, definitely made a contest and brought the ball to ground. I think Petty and Van Roo could be a handful for any defenders. Maybe a bit of one David Neitz about him???

For me it was an amazingly balanced performance where every time we moved forward we looked clinical and we executed. The most telling was May. But for a different reason than most. It was May v Hogan and the trade that set this “potential” dynasty up. What an amazingly good result for us Demons that continues to deliver! Our recruitment and development team has been amazing.

How good is it that we have competition for spots and with such varied opinions it means we run deep with options. My biggest worry is the forward structure where Fritta gets crowded out and our biggest threat to the opposition looses space and focus to really hurt teams. Balance around a Fritta needs to be a major focus of the brains trusts thinking moving forward.

We have been challenged all season and passed them all. Early on everyone doubted how long we could keep the unbeaten run going. It was going to be the clash of the undefeated Dee's v Dogs and we comprehensively beat them. We played the Lions and the first half the Lions were outstanding evrrything on there terms, and up by 5 goals and we beat em. The 2nd time we played the Dogs we were off by 10-20% and they played very well with the rub of the green on many decisions, yet I still felt in the last quarter we could have pinched the game. The cats round 23, 7 goals down in the graveyard of yesteryear and we won. It all comes down to effort, want and trust like so many things in life. Our boys have been unbelievable this year and I believe and trust the boys to complete there mission and beat the Dogs again. Over the whole year Dee's and Dogs have been the best teams, we have to beat the best to prove we are the best.... Let's get em Dee's

Wow, what a game. The most pure joy watching this team. I have been really focal about Viney's form and ability to compliment Trac and Oliver but credit to you Jack. Absolute outstanding game and I was wrong. One more boys.

Unbelievable, thank you MFC, what a game. The emotions I and my family feel for this club and even moreso through Covid lockdown you have given us so much. Monkey off the back, to win the minor premiership in Geelong where the demolition occurred and for our caption to win the game after the siren it was the best script. Job half done, let's bring the same intensity and string 3 games together like that. Well done MFC. I love our club!

Sorry but how good does our midfield look without Viney. Balanced and with some outside run, always moving in a dangerous manner. Unselfish. Harness, Clarrie and Trac is a must, moving forward. Can't have 3 bulls in there looking for their own ball. Great work Harmes, great game!!! Sorry bu no room for Viney in the midfield.

Great win by the boys, had them cooked and the 39 minute reprieve help them immensely. NIC NAT was gassed as were others for WCE and they got a 30 minute rest. We came out trying to hold a lead without picking up an injury and they had nothing to lose. When it mattered we cracked in and stepped up. Great on the road win and a great test for what seems to be a finals campaign on the road. Well done MFC

Good but very limited footballer. His foot issues have destroyed his ability to get off the mark quickly. Has poor vision, lacks penetration with his kicking and often kills forward momentum. Worst of all is he throws out the balance in the midfield and pushes better more complimentary players outside the centre square... Harmess and Brayshaw. Tick the trade for me

The Melbourne midfield is so disjointed with Viney, slow, selfish and a momentum killer. The difference when Harmes rolls through is so positive. Can someone please tell me why inside 50 and in general play Brayshaw kicks off his left for goal, I can't remember a time when I ever felt confident when he kicks on his left..... and well the set shot to kill the game...... Bradshaw you will never take the next step if you don't convert....... just a good footballer but not great.

Surely VINEY is gone. Most overrated footballer. Offers nothing, absolute momentum killer. Poor disposal by foot and hand. Ruins team lineup and balance. Because we have a love affair with the name VINEY we move others Gus and Harmes from their best position to ensure he has a spot because he can't player anywhere else but the centre square. Someone please help me understand what he offers in out team. Should have taken the pick when Geelong wanted him.

If we dropped Spargo it would be the most dysfunctional decision Melbourne could make. His forward pressure and delivery to a moving forward inside 50 has been outstanding. I would actually like Sparrow to play more time forward as a target. He has a good size body and his conversion rate from outside 50 for goal is high. If we made him a bit more of a target leading up to the ball I think we might have a little gem in Sparrow. Fritta, Tmac, Kosi, Spargo, LJ are all a lock, who can make the last spot their own.

Last week I said it was the best win I have seen from a Melbourne side in many years Um 7 days later am I right in saying this was better again???

I actually don't think Brisbane could have played much better in the first half. They marked everything, forwards kicked goals from everywhere and the had lose balls go there way. 2nd half we outworked them everywhere. No more Brisbane marking everything and the ball falling their way and we spanked them. What a performance Melbourne. Pure class. We get challenged and we rise to it every time. Go DEES

Most complete game i have seen from this club in a long long time, everyone playing their role and great field awareness......... almost looked like the Melbourne Storm type of TEAM performance. Maybe Bellyache has been doing some mentoring. Choco Williams had been a great addition and success. Well done MFC.

Do we go back to a single tall TMac and Bailey as our 2nd tall. We looked so dangerous wil 4 smalls. We hunted the footy and the defender. As soon as we brought in BB and then Weid we have lost the ability to keep the ball inside our 50 in dangerous positions. We are just too tall with a resting ruckman in for the forward 50 also. KOZI, SPARGO, NIBS, TMAC, BAILEY AND BEDFORD?? Salem straight in for Nev. Thanks Nev but never again.
