If there’s a better sight in football than Ronald Dale Barassi singing Grand Old Flag then I don’t need to know about it.

I love how tmacs tentacle-like arms appear above a pack to grab the ball like tbe Loch Ness Tomster*

One point off my predicted margin.

Easily most satisfying win for the year. The Swans never give up, and we have been notoriously flaky. We willed our way to the win.

Listening to TMac talk modern footy and preparation with Ling and Darcy, and watching everything he’s saying going over their head. He’s an articulate young bloke.

Tom McDonald you star. What a resurrection.  Heart and Soul stuff.

Fantastic win against a team that was incredibly hungry.

Brayshaw is getting shakier by the week. Never feel confident when he has it, it's a real concern for us.  He's way off the pace.  I'd almost bring Jones in instead next week.

Well done guys, what a year.  I can't believe this is actually happening.

Oliver huge! TMac huge! Brown huge!

I love the win that is a grind...well done lads. We deserve to be premiership favourites now...not that I give a crap about odds

Every week I still hear/read people writing Melbourne off. One thing these people fail to see is Melbourne's ability to play in one gear higher than the opposition.

In Steve’s right pocket, his phone, in his left, his keys, wallet and buddy. Onya Steve!!!

Swans are a very good side.

Why do we keep getting less free kicks but are always winning?

Oliver  and Tom mac won that game for us .

Hunt ...anb...gus..need to get motivated again.

As for melksham..why is there always so much love for him? Never gets votes.

Its not right.

Spargo, the quiet achiever.

Lj and kozzue well held. Lever poor 100th.

Harmes stood up.

We got there.

Again Tmac , oliver and May take a bow.

Bbb promising.

Dirty dirty maggoys .

Team win.

They closed down our stars and avenues to goal but we soldiered on.

Kudos to Jordon, Harmes, TMac etc. who all stepped up.

They'll be hard to beat if they get a home final, the Swannies.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
