Dees have now beaten no one again because we beat Geelong when Cameron and Higgins were out and we beat Richmond who are clearly incapable of a full game of Tiger pressure anymore.

I honestly don't think we've played our best footy yet.

We're unbeaten but still a way's off sorting our best combination.

...not a bad position to be in.

Useless Bulldogs really let Richmond off the hook. Could’ve put some serious ladder pressure on them.

The Western Bulldogs couldn't beat the Tigers but Melbourne and Geelong could. Probably doesn't say a great deal of positive things about their finals footy brand.

Wayne Carey says don’t worry about the Tiges, this is just a “blemish.” A 10-goal pantsing is a “blemish.” LOL

Reiwoldt 2 kicks, Lynch 3

Look very soft / vulnerable

Haha. I don’t think so. Richmond haven’t looked this bad for a number of years.

Tigers starting to have the stench of thinking that they can just turn it on whenever they need to. I suppose that type of arrogance only comes from sustained success, however their hunger is clearly missing and when that goes, it ain’t as easy as simply flicking a switch.

Tigers time at the top is over. Only hope that I can one day say the same thing with the Dees.

Geelong went to school on Melbourne's win over Richmond, and proved that the strategy works.  Numbers / pressure around the contest, and fast ball movement.

The pressure would really be ratcheting up on the Tigers if it wasn’t for 1 good quarter against the Dogs

Lynch looks like that kid who's always yelling 'kick it to me'. Can't go hard, appeals to the umpires, spent his junior footy years relying on his freak show height and has got nothing else.

I called it when the Tiges played us, it is over for the tiges their midfield isn't what it was and their defence is extremely overrated.

Revolt is past it and Lynch is just lazy.

Damn was hoping for a draw so neither of these 2 won.

Haven't seen you on in a while Azz or have i missed a few posts?

Great performance in the second half from the Cats. Feels good that we beat both these sides!

The case for 3 talls in the forward line.

 Cameron 5

Rohan 5

 Hawkins 2

Rohan is the same height as Fritsch.

Richmond just have that whiff about them of only going hard when they have a point to prove. It’s the downside to sustained success.

Interesting point…

Reiwoldt was nowhere!!

Lynch was beautifully uncoordinated

Richmond had fumbles, couldn't hold a forward area mark, couldn't score on Geelongs turnovers and had passengers.

Geelong forced errors onto the tiges and wanted it more.

No roar from the tiges in the third, they got rolled.

Counter attack footy doesn't work. Possession of the football in the forward area takes pressure of the backline.

Ruck craft killed the undersized man.

Melbournelike football from Geelong....

I kinda like seeing the Tigers drop back down to earth, but must Geelong continue to just not go away?
I cannot stand that club. When will they just die of old age already?!

i believe the phrase is downhill skier....

Not sure a player who has won multiple finals off his own boot can be described as a downhill skier.

Geelong's second half was the best football I've seen this year.  Having not been a fan of theirs for years I was genuinely surprised.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
