Collingwood’s woes v Hogan’s giant steps back from multiple adversity?  Pleased today for Jesse, an exceptional talent when on song. May body and soul stick together (except against us).

Collingwood are a rabble. The AFL should take Queen’s Birthday off them.

Hahaha. I was listening with much joy to the Suns game on the radio and they said numerous times that G Wright had been interviewed prior to the game and stated Buckley was on track to be reappointed.

Joy!!!

It’s almost like the Pies are tanking.

Lastly 25k at the G today and about the same in Adelaide.... I don’t think anyone should get stuck into our fan numbers!

Great to see Jesse back and playing well. Should never have gone west, but we got May and Freo got shafted so, happy days all around

Who has the pies first pick this year?

GWS

I selected the Suns today but i still want an inquest into the tanking that is going on at the Pies.

You do realise that they don’t have their first round pick yeah?

GWS KOTD.

Why would they tank without a first round pick?

So far so good. We can go a game clear and all the chat will be about the dumpster fire over at the Holden Centre and Clarko taking over from Bucks. Happy to fly under the radar for another week.

Went along and had a look at the Pies today. My take aways are as follows:

1. Gold Coast will emerge as a very good team in the next couple of seasons

2. Sidebottom looks almost done

3. Pendlebury gets a lot of nothing possessions these days

4. Only 24,000 of the so-called biggest club in the country rocked up. Most were gone at the 10 minute mark of the last

Typically, bought him in to replace Dunkley in my fantasy footy this week!

Looks like West Coast have competition for the title of biggest down hill skiers in the league

Port looking mighty soft today against the Lion.
Daniher is an appalling goal kicker.

Take the SA and WA teams out of home and play them against half decent opposition and more often than not they go to water.

Because GWS need more top 5 picks. Bloody hell!

Collingwood don't have their 'natural' second round pick either.

Pies only received pick 24 & a 2nd rounder somewhere in the 30's for it too

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
