So the powers that be maybe have decided that Melkshams ongoing lack of tackle is analagous to playing a deep full forward and having a three headed monster in Tmac, LJ and BBB.

Wow that's a tall forward line - not quite WCE tall but still v. tall.  Granted BBB plays more as a leading forward.

Excited to see how this affects the balance.

Hopefully there are zero rakes in the forward 50 or this could be trouble!

Weather forecast turning sour. Rain and strong winds possible Sunday afternoon.  Having 3 talls could backfire on us. North will relish it. Havent Sportsbet heard of Bass Strait and Tasmanian weather.

I bet alot of money is going on North this week. Poor weather and sympathetic umps might keep them in the game.

So much for sunny and 22.

Should have moved the game to Marvel.

TBH the main reason I'm glad he's playing for us is that he isn't playing for North.

Sometimes, in my darkest moments, I get flashbacks to North surging forward with Brown one out with OMac in the goal square.

We can finally watch us play that mob without the crippling and entirely rational fear that he's going to kick 10 goals on us.

From the forecast I just read, medium chance of showers (0-1mm) and 15/20km winds. Not too bad I would’ve thought.

You need to fight against your MFCSS Siam. A changing weather forecast is not going to derail.

And in case you hadn't noticed, North are terrible.

As per other posts, weather is looking Ok on 3 forecast sites including BOM.

20 degrees , slight chance of a shower, cloudy with some sun,, winds 15-20 km/hr in the morning but lightening winds  in afternoon.

I'd be confident that there is hardly any money being bet on North this week.

If at  the  G or Marvel i wouldnt waste 10 cents on North.

But its down inTassie. North always lift against us. First quarter should be telling either way. Fine weather and we will win.

Good luck BBB - you will need to perform as others are waiting for your spot !

I reckon Norf won't even score over 40 this week. It will be around a 100 point victory this week no one wants to give up there spot.

Hoping its a bend over no lube type operation.

Yep...North are terrible alright but so are Melb against North in Tassie.

Melb now have a much better team but im not overly  confident . If Melb win by 3 goals iD take it now.

If we win by 1 I will be happy however 10 would be better.

The line is 57.5 points or something ridiculous if anyone was taking North it would be that not H2H

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
