Bizzarely, the 2021-retired Tom Scully is still in the HFC website team photos, evidently carrying the number 'Blank'

It was accidental, so it's ok. Doesn't it make you want to spew, though?

I feel we play our aged for to long to the detriment of youth, don’t be surprised if Chandler and Bedford are delisted eventually

Martin rested vs the Suns.

For all the horrible list management decisions we made around the Bailey/ Neeld era, most of the players we willingly let go never played well elsewhere. Martin was the exception - I never understood why we let him walk at the time, and it looks like an even worse decision in hindsight. He's been a seriously underrated player for a long time.

If Sheed misses that goal he’s a premiership player.

A lot of people are quick to jump on Collingwood (which is fair enough) but they were very good and really should have won a flag.

I'm never going to begrudge a player for moving to the club they supported as a kid. Even if it is Collingwood.

(Hope Christian Petracca never reads this though).

Good on him. Hope he can get his life and career back on track. Still just 26 I believe.

We play them again at the G later this year, hopefully he plays, the Dees fans give him and big cheer, and of course the Dees get the W!

Not sure where to post this. GWS v Footscray currently live on Fox and Jesse is running around.

Better than no footy at all on a Thursday night. He’s looking ok, here’s hoping he gets some luck and makes it back successfully.

Anyone know what Guy Rigoni is up to these days?

Does he moonlight on here??

Lucky enough to be on a table with him at a fundraiser for retired players 3 years ago. We had a fabulous night and Guy was very easy to talk to. I cannot remember the company he works for but he is well known through country Victoria as he sells farm machinery. From memory he has 2 girls who play footy but haven't been picked up to date. He is very tight with Rod Grinter and they are a major force behind the past players support network. I was very privileged to talk to him about the Bali bombing and it's affects on the players who were there.

I don't know if he is aware Demonland exists and now I wish I had asked.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
