McCluggage was unbelievable in the last quarter. Might have saved their season

Always good to see Collingwood lose after the siren even better and seriously ruck-men are so overrated it’s not funny.

Daniher is the worst kick in the entire AFL.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed. Sure knows how to get to the ball though. .

Ruckmen win games if they play smart

He is a good target. Straightens them right up

Side Show will be better...

Good  start to the easter weekend. Lets hope it continues. I hate the filth.

was hoping for a Pies victory as it might have made that fourth spot in the four just that little easier for a team such as ourselves.

Not too late and hopefully GCS can take the two derbies away from them.

Nice to see a Pies loss but I think most of their supporters know they are jst making up those 6-10 numbers.

Just sad that Collingwood can't lose by a shot after the siren every game.

Wow what an ending. I watched bits and pieces of the game and every time I tuned in all I saw was pies goals so I walked away.

But good finish.

Ha Ha did anyone see Howe do a cartwheel when Bailey was having a shot trying to put him off and when it went through he just fell to the ground.

The only thing this game missed was getting a  shot of Ed after the siren.

Come on ! Be nice ! Didn't your mother ever tell you to never take joy in someone's misfortune ???

No, neither did mine !

Collingwood can go and get stuffed !! What a beautiful sight to see ! Miserable Collingwood fans.

In an alternate universe ... Bailey misses the shot but the ump awards 50 against Howe for being in the protected zone. Oh if only.

Turned it on with about 7 minutes to go. What a ripper. Was barracking for Brisbane as if I somehow cared about this game in the end.

I don't know a real lot about Zac Bailey but I was never in doubt he'd kick it, just based on how he looked. There were none of the big deep breaths or the other usual signs you'd see when someone is crapping themselves about the shot. He was all over it.

It was beautiful.

Now what would make this weekend even greater is apart from us winning is the sainters thrashing essendon and making there lives even more miserable.

grundy was the filth's best midfielder on the park

Pretty much verbatim what I was going to post.

Well said sir/madam !!

Yep ..theres only 1 thing better than beating Collingwood...and thats beating them by a point !

filth had an old men's night......top disposals winners were pendlebury, sidebottom and grundy

doesn't say much about their list

Not kidding - if the Pies had Treloar on the ball tonight I reckon they win. they really lack a fast mid

The boy Bailey has balls of steel! what a finish.  and to think he SHOULD have had two winning kicks after the siren in back to back round.  never been done I am sure

Hard not to like the bears.  hard at it.  McClullage is  a gun.  if he could kick for goal he would be a star

be interesting to see what figjam does at the end of the year

in every interview and press conference for the past couple of years he's look exhausted

he clearly can coach but he looks completely over it

You must have tuned out early... there was a great shot of a depressed Bucks still sitting in the coaches box, a few minutes after the game had finished.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
