I also thought Spargos fwd pressure was very very good.

Anb was solid as well.

A more even team performance except for starring roles from Oliver and Kozzie and Trac.

Happy Birthday Bella ??

Well I thought we would be out paced and out coached.

I am glad to admit I was wrong.

Well done ___.

“Well done Simon Goodwin and coaching team”.

Fixed

Fantastic performance! Got challanged but rose to the occasion.

Don't underestimate this win in such a big occasion like it was for St Kilda.

Absolutely stoked with that performance.

We shut down everything the Saints wanted. Massive tick for Goodwin.

Basic skill errors stopped that being a 50 point win. That’s our next step.

I was really worried early, after last week and the way we were kicking early I thought they’d carve us up.

But Jackson into the ruck seemed to be a circuit breaker, then when Gawn went back in we continued the dominance.

Kozzie lit it up, he’s special.

Batman and Robin were outstanding in the guts. Saints must love watching Petracca smash em.

I can’t remember Salem playing with that much energy.

Liked Jordon and Sparrow’s games.

Get in!

Defence outstanding as a group. Tomlinson and Salem the cream tonight IMO.  Last week it was May and Lever. Becoming the envy of the AFL.  You can build a Flag around a great back half.

I'd just like to endorse all the other posters in their praise for Goodwin outcoaching Ratten.

It was all Yze and Richo’s influence - jk jk

Best game I've seen in a long time from the Dees. To be challenged in the second quarter... and the response was very pleasing.

best game I've seen from ANB as well

Keep it up Dees

Tomlinson was fantastic tonight

I canned him in the game day thread for that deliberate out of bounds goal early in the second , but he definitely was very solid down back and providing rebound out of D50.
Collectively take out those ordinary marking mistakes by our defenders and a couple of dubious early frees the saints barely had any genuine goals scoring opportunities

Lols, listen pal there was an article on this very (illustrious and 100% honest) website that stated the fine folk of Demonland has taken over the reigns of the whole club. Goody shoomody.

Viney looks slow to me.

Can he pick it up?

Great to see the much maligned ANB do well tonight.

Tomlinson's best game ever.

Are we allowed to fine forwards for missing easy goals (Fritta)?

Spargo makes goals happen even if he doesn't hit the scoreboard.

The Saints could honour Frawley by changing their name to the St Kilda Spuds once a year for Spud’s Game.

I think a permanent change would be fitting Ethan!

Brayshaw a concern, though he did a couple of decent things. Could it be that away from the coalface, he's a bit lost?

Saints look tired.. might have struggled from the bog last week..

GWS are favourites next week.. why??

And one less day's recovery.

The rain and the extra day were key reasons I tipped us.

That and I'm a happy clapper.

I finally watched Rami Malek's Oscar-winning portrayal of Freddie Mercury last night and now it's just a big mental jumble when Jake Lever goes to fist the ball away.

Well a big improvement on last week, still plenty to work on but we again beat a team who we needed to if we are to make finals. I am not really a fan of ANB, Tomlinson and particularly Goodwin but they all had good nights.

And I can’t believe there are so many people who think Oliver would be easily replaced, the guys a freak and still has improvement to come.

I am satisfied with the result. Back to my coopers pale ale.

Funnily enough I watched it a couple of weeks back too.

Didnt think of lever. Will now.

Fun film but best actor oscar?  Please

Rapt with the win, but just as happy that there was some innovation from Goody. The defensive flooding wasn't helping us in the second quarter and previously Goody would have stuck with it, but he moved things around, got more guys forward and put Jacko in the ruck and it totally shifted the momentum.

Credit to him.

I can't believe the love for Cooper's Pale Ale. Should be drinking Cooper's Stout after a win like this.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
