What has that to do with anything??It was a simple question!!!

I acknowledge all the fans on here who wanted him delisted during his first two years at the club.

I am sure once again, they will get right behind him as one of their own, if he makes it with us.

I repeat what I said in his first year with us.

"Give him time, he will be a good player for us IMO."

Not every player is a gun from day 1. Michael Tuck played 50 reserves games before becoming a regular senior player. Similarly, Robert Dipierdomenico (how you spell that I don't know*) played 99 reserves games. Both went on to reasonably successful careers winning 7 and 5 premierships respectively (and a Brownlow Medal).

We should be patient with all our players.

The system does not allow patience now LDC. Those were the days when each team had real reserves teams and lists had 50+ players. You need to show something in 2 years or your chances are close to zero now. Average player career length is just over 3 years.

It will be interesting to see how long he is with us.

Late last year he was delisted (even tho he had a one year contract) to help meet the sal cap so he was made a rookie.

Having been delisted once makes him a Delisted Free Agent at the end of this year so he can go to a  a club of his choice without being traded.  We get an FA comp pick but I would think it would be so late we wouldn't use it.

I know its a bit early to talk list management but if we want to keep him we may need to get in early.

Jordon doesn’t need to be a gun. We have plenty of top end talent as it is

We need foot soldiers who will play the team role, defend, block, tackle, run both ways. If he does that he’ll be an asset for us.

Still might, be he has already had his debut.

No AFL game is one that is counted practice match is not. Nor AAMI game.

Thought he played a game in 2019.

He did. Chandler played against Sydney in a late season Friday night game.  Had 9 tackles.

Good luck to him.

I like that we're backing in our read on him and his improvement over the whole pre-season, not just the Dogs game.

will do a discipline job when asked, and will go out and give 110%.

Is it just me that expects this of every single player on our list though? Should be our baseline really.
All the best JJ and go Dee's!!

Some players are naturally born with it, and some need actual training and education around this.

Colin Sylvia and Jack Watts are two that spring to mind straight away.

Good luck to him. Our team is crying out for some young depth in the 22, so he just needs to come in and do his role.

Hoping a couple out of Jordon, Sparrow, Spargo, Chandler, Bedford etc can start consistently doing a job this season and cement their spots as those role players.

Congratulations James Jordon, I, like many on here look forward to watching you out on the Gee tomorrow afternoon (Yayyy), what we really need at the Dee's is to continually improve our bottom 8 players as that has been the anchor holding us back, so James play your role and be one of those players that make us a better Team.

Give it your all JJ.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m sorry, but Jordan must have trained the house down to have warranted selection. You can’t tell me he was picked based on the way he played in either preseason game.

With all the hype about his training and then getting a game against the dogs.

I was expecting one to watch during that game. Was a fair bit disappointed, expected he might get a game early in the season, but game 1 that we must win. The selectors are very brave,

But yes good luck to him indeed,

I hope he does well

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
