As Demonlanders' have suggested in other threads that Kye Declase has been invited to train.

Here's a recent article about him Kye Declase shows his class to kick-start the thread.

The title suggests he has been invited to train, but the OP doesn't actually say so. Please clarify...has he been invited to train or not?

Sounds very versatile.  195 cms. 22 years old

Anyone seen him  play?

24-years old (D.O.B. 15/10/1996) and no, haven't seen him play. Maybe @WERRIDEE has?

That's an appalling bad joke, which is why I love it!

He looks half OK in those highlights.

Moves extremely well for a tall fella.

I look ok in the occasional photo... but what you see is not always what you get. Let’s wait and see before building him up into something he might not be... still, it’s going to add interest to Monday’s game.

Agree with all of the above, but not just the starting 22 now, a couple of others to look at,    Go Dees

Chocco is behind this....  thats a good thing!

I'd trust Chocko to get things correctly, so he must have some good background knowledge on the player.

I'd much rather take a punt on a tall than yet another dwarf-sized forward.

We don't need any more small forwards as most are coming up roses or at least showing form or potential.

Yes his Versatility  and size are mouth watering and Tmac might be getting nervous if he can really play on a wing !

Even Majak can't do that I don't think!

Guessing there is a game for those not playing at Marvel also being played on Monday?

Some nice impartial commentary as he lines up for his 9th for Montmorency - 'sucked in Hurstbridge'.

I’m trying to understand the logic behind this move at such a late stage. I’m assuming in December they were comfortable with the list composition and just wanted to give the young guys a look.

Then the 2 big forwards, an intercepting 3rd tall defender and a flanker/wing type went down.

Maybe Nietschke’s spot will be filled by Deakyn Smith in a like for like role, thus meaning they can be more specific with the other additions?

Which means they are now targeting tall depth to replace Hore and/or cover the key forwards?

Majak, Petty and possibly Tomlinson can play both ends so they might be thinking another versatile tall completes the depth options? Or are they not impressed by Majak and looking further down the list of tall depth?

Im just struggling to see how Nietschke going down suddenly opens the door for a guy who they probably need a lot more time to evaluate even half decently. Unless they aren’t so worried about positional depth and he’s just the next best option.

The clubs tardiness with news the last 9 month has been deplorable.

Good luck to Kye. He has some really nice attributes.

Kye brings flexibility and depth, we now have the talls and shorts pretty well covered, his marking and kicking look up to scratch. Would be nice if it had been posted on the MFC website first..??

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
