[censored] me Majak is an absolute monster of a specimen. Imagine that running at you at full pace - would definitely need new undies!

here’s hoping that he’s got it together mentally now.  We have had far too many looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane’s over the years. Fingers crossed for a looks like he ate Tarzan and plays like that too.

I think we've seen what he offers. He's no world-beater but he's going to give us some insurance for at least the first month or so.

It's quite possible he doesn't play a game for the Dees, even if he does sign on.

That said, I think it's just sensible short-term recruiting.

Can anyone explain why Angus Brayshaw is now permanently 23cm above the surface of the Earth?

Is this a product of new high altitude training or has he spent too much time on the low-G treadmill?

It's gonna mess with his GPS data for sure.

Because Majak is pushing the earth down behind him.

Really good to see Gus running in boots, maybe round one for him is a good chance.

Majak really is something, makes every ripped player at the club look like they haven’t touched a weight. We have a good number over experienced coaches at the club now so perhaps with their help we can get something magical out of Majak. Ultimately if we take him on it’s a low risk move.

Does invitation to train offer us first dibs? Is there anything stopping someone offering them a contract, or us offering other club’s train on players one?

Pretty sure when HB was training with us last year we had first dibs.

I have no idea what the rules are but it would be poor form for another club to pinch him from under our nose.

Having said that didn't Freo draft a guy in the middle of a training session with us?

Yes but he proved not up to it. We lost but we won. I don't remember his name; that's how good he was.

I'm so sick of Angus Brayshaw and training reports. He hasn't put on much muscle tone in about 3 years and I don't know why he hasn't pushed harder to play as an inside mid. He seems very content with just being a so-so player on the outside. I sort of hope he secretly requests a trade to a club that gives him the opportunity.  Otherwise, what are we seriously doing here.

I agree with most of that except in the photos on the first page he looks as fit as he ever has, all whilst coming back from a serious injury.

i want to see him running from contest to contest

too often he sits in the space between; the amount of times i've seen him dawdling around the park drives me to distraction

that's what happens when you play an inside mid on the outside.

Ripped doesn't mean aerobic capacity, strength, footy smarts or natural footy ability. Let's see him play.

I can remember when Plugger Locklet decided one season to get "fitter",  lose weight and improve body shape. He became a dud because, although he more than his fair share of footy smarts and ability, it was his weight and strength, not his running, that got him results. Please, do not look at body shape as a marker for performance.

Point well illustrated. On the other end of the spectrum was one Gary William Buckenara. A hardly muscular, bespectacled, pasty nerdy looking bloke with a rather awkward and non athletic looking physique to say the least. But he could also play.

Not saying it does, and never said anything of the sort. I just made an observation of his physique.

I’ll be honest when I’ve seen him play for North I’ve often felt he hasn’t had a great ability to read the play. Maybe some different minds and a change of location will help him, maybe the club won’t even go with selecting him in the end. Who knows what’s going to happen, but it’s in his hands to prove his worth.

The boots he’s wearing are made using the same technology as the new Maglev high speed trains in China. He should be capable of running at speeds of up to 600kph.

Given the available evidence that may be a valid scientific insight. According Newton’s Third Law of Motion ‘For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction’  As he bestrode Earth he has created space for others hence Angus Air. Which may explain the praise of almost mythic proportion some posters ascribe to Comet Noir’s appearance at Casey Fields.

Majak it appears is a force of nature to be reckoned with.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
