He will wear the number 43.5 then

Well done Chook, I laughed. Good thing these days.

I think the exciting thing with this pick, is we have taken a player who has a number of attributes, who might be able to be developed into a very good player. We can then live in hope we have got a very good one.

With some other players, you know what you are getting, as they were at their best in the younger competitions and may not improve much when playing against the big boys. That is a pretty common trait among many draftees over the years.

Take Toumpas as an example, who was a very good player among his age group, but just couldn't improve in the AFL and didn't make it as an AFL player.

We all know drafting is an inexact craft, every recruiter has had failures as that is the way of recruiting.

With this kid Rosman, who has many attributes, such height, speed and endurance as examples, we have a base to work on, that may have a very high ceiling and that is exciting, as we take the journey with him.

Personally, I think the exciting thing about this Pick is that we have recruited an 18 year old, Jewish, Carpenter.

I'm thinking Sierakovski. Which one,  not sure Brian or David...

Can anyone tell me whether the first grab of highlights above is from a practice match v Oakleigh Chargers or if it’s a Dragons interclub?

So we shouldn't expect to see him until about age 30, where he will develop a cult following after displaying some freakish ability, before being brutally cut from the list?

Guess after that we can re-draft him during the mid-season draft the following year to revive his career.

Hope he doesn't turn into a whipping boy, and get crucified on DL on a weekly basis.

Judging by current enthusiasm...I'd expect most pundits on here @FireInTheBennelly would be disappointed if in his first year, he isn't jagging 3 goals per game, committing 15 pressure acts and holding down a key position spot in the forward line, whilst being touted as leadership material.

If IF his dads name is Dave Rosman, then I'm right on the money!

Looks promising. Speed to burn and a good grab. Agree with Kevin Sheehans comment that he has the Isaac Smiths about him.

Aaron Davey seemed to fix his kicking up pretty well

Went from 'good' to 'art'.  The entire arc of Davey's long kicks became so perfect that sometimes I just watched the ball fly and lost track of the game for a moment.

Of course, Fraser Rosman has almost nothing in common with Aaron Davey except his species, y chromosome and red-and-blue jumper.  But that's enough for me to be sure he'll come along nicely.

I think Joeboy would definitely sum up Fraser Rosman in 3 words. Speed, endurance, size.  Can’t wait to see how he develops and could play back or forward or on probably even fit in on the wing. Mark Williams will work with this kid a lot in 2021.

Will we see more of Joe Gutnick now?

Funny how people relate size and physique to being a good footballer.  Based on that theory, Majak Daw should have a few Brownlow's by now.

Thank God some of you blokes didn't see a young Rob Flower at his first few training outings.  A stick figure with glasses like the bottoms of coke bottles!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
