Richmond exits finals in straight sets

Ditto Collingwood

West Coast loses the GF amid controversial umpiring decision

The fire season is unusually quiet so the koala population can begin to recover

Joe Biden crushes Trump so comprehensively so that even the compulsively lying orange buffoon has no traction for his claims of dodgy voting

Adem Yze agrees to become Melbourne's match day strategist for 2021 and beyond (and is instantly viewed as Goodwin's successor by Demonlanders)

I'm looking forward to the silent majority standing up and Trump winning in a landslide so I can be entertained watching all the snowflakes lose their minds again.

I'd just be happy with a quiet fire season/wildlife recovery

Last year was too much fire in NNSW - our 5yo semi traumatised by it.

To be honest I don't care what any other side does.

Time to stop worrying about other sides performances and just look at ourselves.

Whoever wins the flag, good on them they deserve it.

Looking at these photos, I'm pretty sure Biden is wearing one of those MFC ties. Trump, too, might be on board.

Both losers. Biden loses election. Trump then bankrupts the USA. It’s a losers tie.

Believe it or not we can still make finals if Bulldogs and GWS lose their last two and we win .

Mostly out of our control, and improbable,  but if they can somehow find some heart, there may still be a  chance to redeem themselves.

Not that I’m holding out any hope or anything.

Jackson to play the last game and star.

Pickett to actually kick goals from 15 metres directly in front

 Beating GWS and Essendon

Richardson to leave and be replaced by Yze

Goodwin to reevaluate his game day approach as well as his strategies.

Surely Trump's a Carlton supporter?

Do we know if Richo was hired for a 1 year contract? If so, then i dont think we renew. But its hard to say whether or not he's had an impact. We dont know what happens behind the scenes.

A vaccine.

Failing that the Smiths to reform. It would be a real tonic to see Morrissey and Johnny Marr together again playing all the old hits.

I just had this ridiculous notion that it could be possible for one of our chief rivals for that spot in the 8 to blow their chance even worse than us, and keep the season alive for one more week.

But that would be madness.  Not even 2020 can get that stupid.

Have a feeling part of Richardsons role is overseeing the whole football operations and report back to the board.  Coach director?  Does any other club have this role??  Richardson being new to Melbourne and an astute observer,  would have a view of the big picture. i would be amazed if part of his job is not to relay his "learnings" to the board.  The big issue in getting rid of Goodwin is that Pert/Bartlett & Mahoney all ratified the decision.  Getting rid of him entirely is pretty much an admission of ineptitude.

Thinking laterally what do they do?  Happy with Goodwin and direction we are going?  Resounding No.  Happy with our assistants and their output? Mostly No, Burgess gets a tick, but he'll be moving onto greener pastures.  So left with some major decisions, clean out the assistants and get the best ones for starters.  The tough decision here is what to do with Goodwin, my guess is they will move him sideways and Richardson will be head coach next year.  Really can't see any way the board can admit guilt and all fall on their sword, but they can decide Simon is not the way forward for a multitude of reasons.  If something like this was implemented i wonder whether Goodwin would want to stay?  He would still be on ridiculous money for a diminished role.

Personally i can't wait til the end of this season to see what we choose to do in this space!

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
