Is the post game thread open yet?

Why not just go to "is Goodwin the right guy?"

Who's responsible for getting the team to perform?

The coaches don't coach for arm tackles, kicking on someone's head, not chasing

It's always easy to blame the coaches, they are sent out with a game plan, up to now the players have failed to execute it

The only 2 who can hold head up at the moment are Langdon and Tomlinson

On the bright side guys, Sydney will jump Hawks on the ladder so our draft pick we get off them will be one pick higher now.

You know you’ve stuffed up selections when O Mac gets sent to full forward just to stay out of the way.

Bad night for Sydney to pull out their best performance for the year.

They always pull out their best effort against us.  Very much our bogey side.

So who’s let the supporters down then? Elaborate.

How we start this quarter will be everything.

Start fast and we're in it. Let Sydney continue to park the bus or concede a goal and we're [censored].

I turned off the game at half time. I literally can’t remember the last time I did that if ever.

gutted

wind has dropped substantially from the first quarter

How so?

But even then, even if no breeze, we kicked a solitary goal in a whole quarter, which is poor.

And I guess if the breeze has dropped, there should be no impediment to us kicking 4 in the final quarter, right?

I know I'm totally up for 2 hours of elite athletic performance after 5 hours of flights and airport transfers.

Exactly my point. What a great preparation for a game.

Langdon the only bloke that's played the first three quarters

Christ, we painfully inch the ball fwd around the boundary - Syd get it to their 50 with a couple of kicks down the spine.  Ugh.

Many of us called him to be dropped.

Bizarre coaching selection once again that he was kept in the side against a more nimble forward line.

Fritta is awful

Honestly should be traded. He is soooo soft and scared of any physicality, goes missing way too often and only bobs up with 1 or 2 when things are said and done. Woeful kicking skills and gets very little of it.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
