Yep.

Bang on.

If people don't like it they need to remove their heads from their rears.

We dont need a coach, we need an Exorcist

Seriously, I think we should change the name. We have been cursed.

given the many examples of poor football i have seen from the dees over the last 50 years, i am pretty sure its game over. probably finals gone as well.

This is actually embarrassing. I feel ashamed for them almost. Wheres the heart?

Whats happened to them. Sydney numbers to the ball....playing in front and tackling like they are vying for finals and us like wooden spooners.

The only positive is I suppose we will get more work done around the house this month.

Selection killed us once again.

Bring in one spud in Joel Smith only to leave the other plonk in Oscar McDonald against a nimble Sydney forward line.

Weren't you calling for Joel Smith's inclusion?

TYPICAL FARGEN MELBOURNE

Cricket’s on this weekend! The football can GAGF.

I turned the TV off halfway through the 2Q. Almost as putrid as vs Port and the Dogs - you can tell with Melbourne from the first bounce, what sort of effort you’ll get. There’s no way that we come back from this.

It is. It’s cultural. It’s what we do.

Im struggling to get the enthusiasm up to watch the second half. Why bother? Nothing has changed

Yep. We older Supporters have seen it so many times before.
it’s what we do.

Can anyone explain to me what Jack Viney exactly adds to our side. Said many of times that he's such a disruption to our midfield set up. 6 disposal in a half of football.

Sydney aren’t even played that well. Just trying and running

Correct. Coaches are responsible for how teams play. Cohesion, confidence in each other, knowing your role and turning up and being able to absorb pressure.
That is the job of a coach. He has done nothing to fix or stem this disaster which you could see coming after two minutes.

Not for the first time we have folded under perceived and physical pressure.

No doubt Goodwin has to cop responsibility for us being flat from the first bounce for the 10293th time in his coaching career.

But we cannot absolve the players. Half-hearted tackles, no defensive running, hollywood handballs, dropped marks, missed kicks, laziness. They have to pull their fingers out too.

You are such a dumb [censored] troll.

Lever has been in our best about 8 times this year.

Wagner's played one game! And was decent! It's not even possible for him to have got a game "on the back of poor games".

Go [censored] your self stupid troll. You obviously havnt been watching to not see how many goals Lever has given away this year and Wagner has always been Bog ordinary and always will. Won’t win a premiership with him in the side so give it a rest

Wrong person you have.

Well good night children.....

Has anyone retired at half time before

I don't know how many times Goodwin and co have to hammer home the point of consistency, but they just don't get it.

Ohhhhh no. You can’t just pin this on the players. This is Goodwin’s 4th year as coach. His list, his team, his structures.

It doesn’t work, and he has to wear the blame.

My only solice in our season being finished is that at least Essendon didn’t inflict it on us in the last round

I just hate this club so much

Goodwins biggest half

Better do something you shi-t hea-d Goodwin

We’d be better off playing worse in the 2nd half, just so he can be sacked.

Board needs to wear a lot of the blame too, giving a wannabe such a long contract. This whole club can [censored] off if this is their response to consolidating a spot in the 8.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
