Wow, just wow

We are playing like crap.

Our season is done, you have heard it first.

Either delist Oscar or trade. A woeful woeful footballer.

Joel Smith is a complete waste of space out there.

Compared to what someone like Oscar is throwing up, he looks like the next coming of Silvagni at the moment.

Another goal to Oscar.

Melbourne can never really be trusted, and if we lose this, do not deserve to play finals

Poor defense. Absolutely horrible. Wagner. Smith. Omac. That’s 3 non AFL quality players.

0-4 in clearances this quarter.

Inexcusable given our opponent is a poor clearance side.

We are completely off.

Smashed in clearances last week as well. What should be a strength every week with the personnel we have has somehow become a weakness.

We're not switched on. This is looking ominous.

We have absolutely zero workrate

It's just not in this club to deal with expectation.

Pathetic duds time after time

Would love to know what his role is.  Has he even touched it so far?

Please stop talking about putting Smith anywhere on a football field. He doesn't belong there. The defence is a mess.

Swans have a plan against our backline and its killing us. May and Lever not getting enough of it

What is Jones doing? Go for goals. Show some leadership!

That’s it!!!

Retire Jones now!!!!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
