Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Quite expansive...  gee...make a good spot for a sports training establishment...

If Melbourne dont grab this...we're truly stupid.

From all the possibilities discussed by DL, it seems the best opportunity in all respects, for a future training ground and club base.

It would seem that funding could possibly be the only real issue, as I couldn’t imagine the Trust knocking it back, given there could be a mix of community use.

Did you happen to get a coffee or toasted sandwich from the woman with the caravan?

This would have no effect on training grounds/ club base, as in a different area. This proposal refers to the front or North side of the racecourse.

Grounds would be in middle of the course, with a club base in old stables areas on East or South sides of the racecourse.

I wonder where we are at with this possibility, or if it has been squashed.

Overcast in morning then a steady fine misty drizzle most of the time... funny the sun came out at bump out lol.

I summised most who had committed to go walk their dogs....still did so..   Many others might have looked out of their lounge room window...or from their brekkie bistro and thought....yeah..nah !!!  Thats how it rolls sometimes.  We only attended as had a free weekend and hadnt done anything in that area. More the wife's idea lol.

We have been given the heave-ho out of the City area training.

It will be interesting to see how full time use of Casey will suit us?

Due to the FIFA Women's World Cup, Melbourne will be based at Casey Fields for all main training sessions throughout July and August.

This was posted on https://www.melbournefc.com.au/teams/training-times

We are the only club with disruptions, due to us not having our own stand alone facilities.

Caulfield would make a stable home that is reasonably close to the MCG. Much better than what we have now.

This is the main plan, let's get on board.

Which is your stall?

We sell Nepalese Felted Product.. not a regular there.  First time at Caulfield.  We normally stick to seasonal events..annual fairs.. etc..    just had an opening last weekend...so thought we might run the flag up.   Unlikely to return anytime soon. ( cant ) ..might look to dates much later in year but not dec... dies in the bum for us.

Extraordinary. It was a bloody miracle we won in 2021. Maybe we should train at Joondalup Arena in Perth every finals series

Over the next 15 years, the reserve can expect to score a bunch of new sports and recreation facilities, walking and running tracks throughout, and picnic areas. A new sports hub will feature an indoor stadium and outdoor sports fields, with car parks beneath the pitch, and there are big upgrades in store for the lake and wetland areas, including the addition of an Indigenous heath.

An indoor stadium would be great to train in, occasionally.

How do we lose access to our main training ground for the last two months of the home and away season. Surely the world cup could be played elsewhere?

I think it is more about the soccer teams getting access to AAMI, for some runs and familiarity with the ground, and of course game day.

That's funny because I saw Collingwood training on Gosch's Paddock this morning.

Maybe they got kicked off their AIA Centre (the old Olympic Park) for the World Cup and in turn, kicked us off Gosch's Paddock?

don't think they will be on gosch's for long

soccer takes over. but maybe we are only kicked off because we can't use the indoor facilities inside aami, whereas the filth have got theirs in the glass house?

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
