Arden st. Still a dump I imagine but preferable to a three day trek to the wilds of Casey

Oval size hasn’t changed but a great little set up, they do have their own training facilities/oval and offices in one place.

Favourite memories of Arden St? I was there with 6821 others when we fought back from a big 3/4 time deficit for a draw in R18 1971. John Tilbrook monster goal was instrumental IIRC. It's a long time ago ...

Taste is a strange thing demonstone I actually liked Courage.

That was the very first beer I ever tasted (back in the 60's)... at the old Mayfair Hotel in (was it?) Parkville or Carlton.

I don't remember that one hardtack. But I lived in Bendigo until early 70's. Back then you had vic beers in vic and NSW beers in nsw etc. Courage Huang in for a long time and almost as soon as they left we all started drink all sorts of different beers from everywhere.

Pity the North game is on a weekday. Arden St was one of my favourite away grounds back in the day, even though I have no good memories of the place in a football sense.

We must have lived close to each other at one stage Old Dee, I lived in The Esplanade Maribyrnong less than 10 minutes to windy hill

Any word on whether the North game at Arden St will be streamed on the Official Website like they did with the Collingwood Scratch Match last year?

Also I may as well as here - does anybody know if the official practice matches are streamed on the Watch AFL app for us Ex Pats?

One day, a fire broke out in a food stall on the outer wing at Arden Street.  I think this may have been a televised match between North and Collingwood and the incident was captured on that night's TV replay.

A wag in the crowd (OK, my brother) was heard to yell out "Hot Pies!".

I was there that day. With a mate from school, who was a huge Nought Supporter.
big Crowd was in there. Lucky it didn’t escalate.
we thought it was hilarious at the time

It's a good thing old those changes occurred, back in the 80s all we had in Perth was Emu Export(Red Death), Emu Bitter, Swan Lager and Swan Draught

We really were still 6 colonies back then PSD. 1970 me and three mates drove to Perth, we left on boxing day in a HD Holden. No air con. It was as hot as hell with still 300 miles of dirt road. Southwark in SA, then the ones you mentioned in WA. Was it  Hannans in kalgoorlie? 4 guys in their 20's. My god we drank some beer in 3 weeks.

You obviously missed his game vs Kangas (North) when he kicked at least 3 I think with a couple in the last quarter to help us win.

Sorry D Trump but your posts are very much like your namesake Either "fake news", inaccurate,  very personal or don't add Humour to the debate

As per the article on page 1, "The Demons will draw on players not selected in the following day's Marsh Community Series match against Adelaide, which will also be played at Casey Fields"

So in essence, the scratch match on the 21st Feb is the 2nds team and the match on the 22nd the Seniors team.

Or vice versa, depending on what we want to achieve with each game.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
