I would hate to be someone from the MFC reading this forum and what has been spoken about since the end of the season.

For far too long we have been accused of being a club that sits on it's hands, does nothing aggressive during trade time and gets bent over at the trade table.

Yet since the end of the 2019 '[censored]' season, the club has brought in Richardson, Burgess, Brukner, the dude from the Dolphins, outside run in Tomlinson and Langdon, took a risk on Bennell, invited a semi-proven forward in Mitch Brown to the club, shifted their position in this years' draft considerably for the positive and yet, you STILL have the nerve to bag the club for what they are not doing. Bloody hell!

I am pumped to see the club take chances, admit fault, bring in a fresh perspective and potentially get us back to finals in 2020.  There is no way in hell you would cop the level of criticism and negativity in your role as this club does.  Sometime it feels like a whingefest and sooky la-la session and it's time to look at the glass half full.  Because I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that not if but when we rise back up the ladder all you backstabbers will the first one to start back-patting like the tweed coated MCC do!

You must be living in a cocoon...

You want to hear what other clubs say about their teams/coaches etc.

We are mild compared...

Criticism is the new black for most everything in life these days.

...and you are adding to it with this post.

Criticising the critics...

I think we've done pretty well in the off season to by the way.

Great post, the club certainly haven't mucked around and much of the change that is in place was set in motion 8-10 rounds into the season.

Let me further entangle this by criticising you as the critic of those critisicing the critics.    (I also agree with your last line.)

I agree with your sentiment. It's fantastic that the Dees have been aggressive in their FD staff signings, trades & drafting. Unfortunately the proof is going to be in the pudding. If we dish up 2019 performances (injuries or no injuries - especially if no injuries) in 2020 then it's best you stay away from this forum and other social media because the proverbial will hit the [censored] fan.

I agree with almost everything you say in the above However it is a fan site and as such you will get a number of different views on every subject. Just roll with the blows that is the way life is.

AS for the MFC reading Demonland I seriously doubt that anyone reads the site and the few that may would instantly discard anything they don't agree with.

I firmly believe that what is written here has no effect on how the MFC perform on match day.

Your brave inanunda, like waving the red flag at a demon, divisive.

Takes all kinds to make a community.

Half glass full, half glass empty, no glass at all, overflowing, empty, and swingers from one to another.

I think the current situation dictates the main emphasis of threads.

When MFC is up, the positivity is up, and when MFC is down, the threads are pessimistic. Of course the moment is reflected.

Are you saying those who have been pessimistic in the past have no right to celebrate if the MFC become successful?

What problem do you have with the 'tweeds'? You have tones of bigotry, class and thought.

The MFC has tweaked a few things. Though it seems to be on the same trajectory as usual. Buying it's way out.

Would much rather have a club that is known for developing from its draft selections. We lose so many of our young selections after 3 to 5 years. These are individuals wanting a sporting career, and we really throw them away easily.

Hoping for a good draft period and making the most of our young players.

By the way, I am in a camp of no glass. Really arn't too concerned about the win/loss position, prefer the journey. Found us being in a final series quite stressful anyway. The home and away games not as much invested. I like uncrowded games and enjoy watching the opponents game as well.

Or maybe the proof of the pudding will be in the eating as the saying really goes.

Nothing has happened yet. Settle down.
i hope all the Coaches have read all the rules this Summer and not underestimated anything.

we have no rights to that

@inanunda you started a thread but have not engaged with the discussion. Does that mean you are firm in your opinion and care not for mine or others?

Come on have a dialogue. Support your opinion or show some flexibility.

But the club has been terrible since forever AND A WHOLE ADDITIONAL DAY since yesterday so I really, really need to express my feelings.

I'm a glass half full demonlander but I will ask this question. Why don't many of our players seem to demonstrate that incremental improvement in skills that players at other clubs do ? This is the question I've never been able to answer and it's the issue that frustrates me the most as the quintessential demon tragic.
