Surprised that the ultra PC censor allowed it ?

It is somewhat surprising what the auto censor will and won't allow through.

You can't [censored] your finger on a needle. You can't give a saucer of milk to your [censored] cat.

The captain of a ship can't [censored] his sailors wit ha whip.

It's got me buggered.

Ok. Thought it was both knees. Still a worry & to be shipping out our best defender this year is a Huge gamble, but it’s done now, so we all have to observe and hope it rolls.

The Forward line... will it work next year?

it’s almost toss a coon....

coin?

I guess we need to bookend this affair.

Frosty in the poos and wees.

Still don’t think we should have let him go. Lever and may seem to he injury prone and then there’s Omac. Omg help us.

Nice to see him in Hollywood with other members of the team.??...!!!!

Well Max will certainly miss Frosty. I still think we will regret getting rid of him.

This is going to bite us on the bum- like when we let Howe go - the Collingwood coaches turned him into a star

Clarkson will love the challenge

meanwhile our defence looks like Swiss Cheese

Typical Typical MFC YEP

Well done Frosty I loved your style

Hope you tear the Dees another one when we play you

Cheers

PF

Let’s wait and see what happens at Hawthorn but at the moment it just seems like a dumb decision. And if Frost does well at Hawthorn it will be a poor reflection on our coaches and footy dept. Very disappointing.

Uhm no chit the hawks coach will love the challenge, just like Goody would have. You can’t put a harness on a greyhound. So the plan is to turn Frost into a 1 on 1 shut down defender who does nothing else. Strike me pink, innovation!!!!

Ps good to see all the “likes” on Saty’s “gag”.

I can’t see the upside in trading Frost. Would love to hear the club’s rationale behind it.

We barely got anything for him in return aside from a future second rounder in a hopelessly compromised draft, and our defensive stocks just got weaker.

Clearly the club hasn’t learnt it’s lesson that you have to have rock solid depth in your key position stocks. They found out the hard way as a consequence of exiting Hogan and Pedo in the one hit - result was Melksham as our sole key forward in a home and away game.

Now we’re doing the same to our defence. Robbing ourselves of an integral part of our defensive stocks while relying on injury prone players to hold it together.

IF

I predict that Clarkson's top up strategy will fail, he won't win another flag at Hawthorn and he won't be coaching there in 2023 after the end of his current contract.

I'll even double down and predict that Goodwin will coach MFC to a flag.

I'm OK with this trade: my sentiment is that he'll be worth more to Hawthorn than to Melbourne.  In other words, Melbourne attained more value from trading him than holding on to him.

To start with, the balance of probabilities suggests that Frosty's value has peaked and now was the perfect time to offload him and for Melbourne to attain maximum trade value.

Let's assume that the injury gods smile upon us next season and May and Lever play most games.  This would possibly mean that Frosty spends quite a few games playing for Casey.  In this scenario, he'd have almost no trade value.

Maybe the injury gods will spoil us again, but you tend not to win flags by playing conservatively.

My other sentiment is that it's human nature to overvalue what you current possess.  I hope that our list management can overcome this bias and have made a balanced decision, based on a wide range of information.

That makes a lot of sense.

We let frost go AND 3 draft picks for 2 picks back.

I'd say we rolled over and he had zero trade value.

HUSTLERS on the other hand actually makes the most of its story. Besides RZ's performance, JUDY butchers it.

We will easily cover Frost.  it is no loss at all.

Hawks have lost the plot, their list is a mess full of injury prone has beens.

Hate to say it but Hawks will win a flag before we do!

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
