Read the previous posts for context mate, talking about senior experience as in as a senior assistant.

I know what you are talking about. Adem has had 7 years working with Clarkson, but until he sits on the Iron Throne, you don’t really know what it’s like

If we hadn’t stupidly signed Goodwin to a 3 year extension last Summer after the Preliminary Final debacle, Adem should  be our Senior Coach right now.

Absolutely DD, I have been to the land of Ferrari in Maranello. Superb 2 days they were.

If Yze doesn’t come back to Melbourne do we go into 2020 with no Clarkson understudies?

Ooze misses out on Adelaide coach.

Commits to 2022 with Hawks.

2023 MFC head coach?

From your lips to God's ears.

But I'm an atheist...

Didn’t want him anyway, he can’t even spell Adam.

Comedy gold aside, surely his next gig will be as a senior coach? Jeez if we have another poor season, what might be at the end of next year? Clubs are happy for assistants to break contracts to allow them to pick up a senior gig. Food for thought.

He would have loved it too, but the stars just didn’t align.

Really? I think he has very little love for the MFC. He and his family heavily invested in the Hawthorn Football Club

WHY??

Why doesn’t he love the MFC? Is that they question? If so, most likely because we treated every player like [censored] at the the end of their career during his time.

I thought at the time that tweet or whatever it was from Russell Robertson was a weird one. Yze was allegedly shattered that he couldn’t get to us because Hawthorn were making him honour the last year of his contract, then today it’s announced he’s extended said contract until end of 2022. Weird.

Footballing wage negotiation tactic.
I'd be surprised if he came back.
He's been with the have not, and been with the haves.
He'll stick with the haves thank you very much.

He has quietly tried to get across a couple of times & it just hasn’t worked out. Don’t assume just because there isn’t a carefully stage managed public campaign that there isn’t a desire.

But I think now he has accepted it just won’t happen, and embraced the fact he is wanted at Hawthorn.

This is a professional business. What's love of club got to do with it.

If he's the best person for the role and offered he will grab with both hands.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
