Who will relieve Max? Petty? Omac?

May.

Thus O'Mac.

How must Hore be feeling after 2 or 3 very good games at Casey, to still be behind Oscar in the pecking order

Last week was Hore's first game back after missing 3 weeks

Mac as backup ruckman .....really. I hope Drysdale is correct and there are late changes ie Hore and Stretch. Oscar can never say he wasn't given opportunities

I legit cannot in the world find a simple Match up for McDonald.

The only reason I can think of is that we are now officially tanking for Noah Anderson.

They’ll literally run circles around those defenders. Baffling selections.

OMac retains his spot and no Hore. Goodwin said Collingwood have some really good smaller players so we’ll need players who can play on big and small. Watch their forwards run rings around OMac. I give up.

OMac can play on smalls and talls. Just very, very poorly!

Pretty sure it was his second game.

That won't get them far ET!   Might make them dizzy, though.  Cunning plan?

No he’s  played the  last 2 games

I'm so over this. I can't believe Hore isn't named against a forward line with one tall.  I know May and frost can play on smalls at times. But ATM are out best two stoppers of big forwards.   Lever doesn't have an opponent as he floats and intercepts.  But to have them in back half with a slower Hibbard this year and then  McDonald is not able to take the big boys this year and is not smart enough to take the smalls is ridiculous.  I totally don't understand. Goodwin please stop treating us as complete fools.  What the hell is going on.

I’m ropeable about Hore being left out.

Tanking?

Question:

'Oscar played again after being dropped because Steven May got injured, not on the back of form at Casey. So if it weren't for Steven May's injury, Oscar would still be in the VFL and the 'myth' would be a truth. Would it not?'

Answer:

Apparently not

He's named on the bench.

Perhaps he'll be a late out or perhaps May will spend some time forward.

I'm thinking (preying) for late changes.

Either that or May / O'Mac up forward. O'Mac spent a quarter up forward at Casey some weeks ago. It wasn't pretty

It’s perplexing as to what happened to OMac really.

He wasn’t too bad last year and seemed to be tracking ok.

This year he has turned into a complete spud.

2nd, he played against Sandy as well and was an absolute wall in the 3rd qtr and set up that win

Can’t have that when yr tank...er, experimenting

Don’t see how Hore doesn’t come in for either Wagner or OMac.

With May, Lever, and Frost in the line up Oscar not only feels like we’re going in with poor match ups but two turnover merchants in Frost and Oscar. Hore may also have those issues but at least he’s able to take a defensive mark.

OMac and Frost should not be in the same team unless absolutely necessary.

Petty.

May forward.

OR pending the weather they may drop OMac all together and bring in Hore. It's a very tall backline for a possibly wet and windy day.

I'm surprised as anyone Omac is in. May forward might well be the reason.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
