Can they run the ladder on an Ex cats and dogs , $1 Stkilda membership package basis) - and i’d think we do even better !

relative to the statistics for memberships to supporters ratio ( we only have around 200k) supporters vs Swans who have something like 1.2million IIRC we would have to be the most die hard , rusted on fans in the AFL , given the amount of [censored] we have had to put up with for years (if not decades) also factoring in the high MCC member proportion of MFC supporters.

They can say what they like about our lack of success , but when people like Caro have a crack for only 38k turning up on Saturday night, I find the fairweather supporters tag really unjustified to a very resilient group of fans , I mean just look at the hawks attendence levels this year compared to their membership numbers

She has never let facts stand in the way of her 'argument'.

She has always had ulterior motives and carried a chip on her shoulder. Particularly when it has come to the Demons.

There were most likely less than 10,000 Melbourne supporters there on Saturday night out of a supposed membership base of 52,000. We were massively outnumbered. It was a disgraceful turnout, irrespective of how bad the team has been playing.

How many of those memberships would include those that are freely handed out at games? The vast majority me-thinks.

And if that's the case then only 20,000 of 100,000 Richmond members turned up, same ratio.  And their team is pushing for top 4!

Well said. Highest % increase across all clubs too.

If football clubs were listed on the exchange they would be all done for misleading the market.

It's rather easy to smooth the market... full membership =11points (11 games) and then the partial memberships are weighted accordingly.

How many are purchased by sponsors as part of pre-arranged deals. (Suspect NT buys a lot of three game memberships for example.)

When we get there we could look at reserved seat revenue etc etc

I thought that we broke even on the night, Tiges were very quiet until the third quarter, mind you we sit in an all Dee's area and the Jag was up for grabs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was closer to 3k-4k poita. At least 30k Toiges fans there.

Totally agree.  Knowing  Melbourne. ..it'll be a brutal reckoning.

I am so sick of Melbourne supporters being criticized for not turning up to games. There is nothing much more to look forward to this year. Every week another player/s out injured. No final eight to fight for. The game was on free to air TV.

Leave us alone in our disappointment. How dare people like Caroline Wilson single us out. We have gone through more heartache with our club than she will ever know. I have attended games countless times with no hope of ever seeing a win, in the darkest of times.

What about the Richmond supporters. Their team is vying for a top four spot at the end of the year. They are always banging on about their precious Dusty, and how good he is. Why didn't they go along on a Saturday night to see their stars play in an 'easy' win? Stingy? There is supposed to be 100,000 of them. Not so dedicated as we are, I reckon.

My son yesterday received an invitation to a pre match function before the Sydney game for first year members.

Nice touch - apart from the fact that the function is in a bar, finishes at 7:50pm on a Friday night and he is 9 years old.

I have been a member of this club for 30+ years and have never been invited to a club function. Why are long term, loyal members continually taken for granted by the club whilst first year members on 3 game memberships are given preferential treatment?

This sort of stuff is why we will never be anything other than a middle of the road club.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
