Tom Brown just said we are offically linked to him as is St Kilda and Bulldogs.

- Also said its Hawthorn and the Dees are 2 clubs linked to Brad Hill.

-Ed langdon also linked to the Dees.

Looks like we'll be busy come trade time! I like it!

Hawthorn linked to him is very bad news. Wouldn't surprise me if Clarko has done the scumbag Croad move and sent Hill away for 2 years in order to get one of the picks required for that O'Meara trade at the time, before welcoming him back.

Stats aren’t too great but gets a game for gws so must be decent.

If he is quick with a huge tank he will be looked at. But I am not sure of his kicking skills. Anyone?

If we have Pick 3. I think we trade it for Hill and Langdon. Pull the trigger on that one...

And we definitely go for Tomlinson to play back with ‘May Day’ and ‘Lever to Beaver’. Versatile player! He would be a great get.

I want Frost to stay.

Had his best year with us and can get better.

Saved a stack of goals this year and if he can eliminate a couple of mistakes a game, he is a very valuable player for us.

His speed is the thing for me, he mitigates one of our big weaknesses down there in leg speed, i think the more games that he, may and Lever play together the better Frost will get.

Now that Coniglio is signed up I'm sure Tomlinson will be on the way out (just not enough $), given he's a free agent and won't need a trade he's well worth a look. I do think the giants play him out of position, I'd be trying to turn him into a Tom Lynch from Adelaide, a far roam high half froward (not really a 3rd tall and not really a wingman). Plus he has the potential to back up in the ruck as well, not for huge stretches of the game but to give Max a little rest.

I'd do that... but it sounds like Hill is a fair way down the track with the Saints, who are throwing large amounts of cash at him to get him to sign.  I can understand that with Jack Steven potentially going down to Geelong, but it also means it prices us out of the market.

Langdon will have to do, but I'm happy with that.

Yea i agree swly.

Goodwin wont survive with this squad he needs to make moves

That is an interesting and very possible circumstance with such strengths in the recruitment qualities.

Go nuts for free agents imo

good idea but the better ones come at a price.

If we can land Langdon and Tomlinson plus use pick 3 and 20 on young players I for one will be very happy with the outcome of this trading period.

I see no reason to trade for Langdon which will send Freo into apoplexy but we need to play tough if we are going to get out of this eternal rut the club seems to find itself in.

If we need salary cap space I would consider trading Brayshaw butI live in hope we can see that late 2018 form again...boy was he good !!

Big yes from me. We’ve had a crack at him before, so clearly rate him.

We never pick up free agents, only lose them. Instead we trade and harm our picks. Time to start loading up on free agents.

Tomlinson is durable, has good running power, is tall and versatile. I’d offer him 600k and play him as a lead up tall forward.

Especially when you’re crap.

Tomlinson is a walk-up start to our best 22.

I am happy to go after any available player that makes our team better.

Especially when they don't cost 2 first rounders or a top pick in likely the best draft ever, and aren't borderline obese and unprofessional/haven't done an ACL already.

No no and no. Both coming of career best seasons I can see this blowing up in our face. Different team different structures.

Would love Tomlinson on the opposing wing to Langdon. Running machine with good skills and we'd get him for free

And with his height and marking he offers an alternate kick in option. Max on one flank, tomlinson the other with a kpf in the guts. Opens the whole ground up. Port ripped us a new one a few years back with the same setup.

Someone on Bigfooty said a source has told him that Tomlinson will be a Dee? Not sure who his source would be

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
