Not a Oscar fan, but that was a great kick and poor defending by us. Or plugins the gap, it was the only place to lead.

yep

no one filled the gap which was appalling defensive footy, but the legrope was way too long

saints dominated last 5-10 minutes

We are so bad

Oscar was 5 metres to the side and 2 metres behind his opponent.

Too many dumb clangers (Jones the main culprit) and too many lack the ability to go with their man once we lose possession.

Too many at the coal face also as usual.  Smashed on the outlier by the Saints maintaining structure on the outside and not sending as many to the contest.

I can only deduce this is a coaching issue as pretty much all other teams get this part of the game.

[censored] woeful. Get [censored] with this [censored] Goodwin. Honestly this is a disgrace and we should be ashamed of this display.

That wasnt a mark

this is painful to watch

Take me back to the first two minutes of the game!

Umps giving St Kilda an armchair ride. That last one was not a mark.

Our defensive setup is deplorable. Everyone running around pointing like they know what they’re covering, while the opposition just chips it around for 2 minutes until they get a shot 20 out.

Neal Bullen does absolutely everything wrong. I’ve never seen a player with a more negative effect.

Siren..

Hunt is the slowest “speedster” in the game. And he does not chase at any sort of speed, just meanders around the ground.

The Saints smashed us that quarter. People attacking our defensive setup but if not for your backline we'd be 5-6 goals down.

Are we the first team to lead at half time without their midfield getting a touch?

just a bit of composure  and we should beat this shizen team...  I hope

We are a joke. So easy to score against. Ratten is running rings around Goodwin by nullifying our midfield. Skills woeful. Too many third rate players.

Defensive setup across the ground

Phew, lucky the Saints aren't a better side. If so, we'd be 30 points down at half time.

Getting smashed inside

Need Oliver to move forward and break the Tag

It is purely the disposal. We get it and turn it over.

We are the worst skilled side in the AFL by a mile.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
