So now no Weideman. That means Tom Mac, Weeds, Melksham, and arguably VDB and Garlett are unavailable from first choice forward 6, and throw in both T & J Smith as first cabs off the rank as backup.

I wonder if Petty will have some time up forward he is good overhead and may defend the area better than some of our forwards. Looks like max and Brayden will rest at full forward.

Yes but our back six looks good!

The Dunkley family will enjoy seeing Josh and Kyle on the same pitch.  Special day for them.

Hope Kyle gets a few decent tackles on his older bro!

Why not play Keilty forward?

You'd think so, doesn't bode well for his future beyond 2019.

I'm surprised that both JWag or Omac were emergencies, Even just play one to allow May or Frosty to swing forward.

Petracca Time!! He will rip them apart.

Here's a thought.....

Wait a minute I don't really mean it

Oscar to FF

Sheeeit im on Drugs!!!

Didn’t take enough pills?

Unfortunately when you get a chance against the bottom club, Gold Coast, and you look a million miles away, your cards are quite rightly marked.

Perhaps a Similar situation with JKH, despite several Casey bog’s that insipid mistake in the dying minutes of the Crows game where he went to ground and allowed Jenkins to goal, may well have marked his cards.

in time i would not be surprised to see frost become a ggreat midfielder, big body strong and fast.If he improves his agilty and aroebics he would be a real handful in centre clearances

He cannot turn The Queen  Mary turns in less arc than Frosty and we already have enough wasteful players in the mids and forwards at goal kicking!

Petty to go forward please and May a possibility  in desperation.

13 goals wins this game !!

I just like how we've gone from having no fit defenders to no fit forwards.

topsy-turvy'd our initial problem.

needs to work on his goal kicking to be taken seriously.

Surely Brayshaw's got to step up this week, show a bit of  form and kick a few goals for the teams sake. If he continues on the way he has been playing lately he should be dropped.

Absolutely sublime music Uncle!! Welcome to the Cruise!!

Ok I'll give Oscar a chance in the Forward line... You just cannot get fairer than that!!

Look on the bright side

The Bulldogs defence will have no idea which of our players gets their best defender

I thought 2019 couldn't get any worse but yes it does in the sense that we are getting zero momentum for 2020.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
