So,so sad. Such a lovely family.. prayers with the entire Green family. The footy community is at its best when these things happen.

Horrible. I met her a few times at a local cafe. She was so lovely.

What a tragedy!

Thoughts are with Brad and their 2 boys.

Hell, that is incredibly sad news. Thoughts go out to the family.

Incredibly sad news, such a beautiful soul. Condolences Brad, her two sons and family

This is just too sad

i spoke to Brad a few times in 2011 when he was Captain during the dark times, a really nice guy.

I hope he will be alright.... :(

I saw this yesterday on Brad’s Instagram and have found myself thinking about it multiple times over the past 24 hours. What an absolute tragedy, been recently married myself I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to lose your wife let alone the mother of your children on top of that.

Really puts life into perspective, a bad day at work, stuck in traffic, the small minute things that we get caught up on in our day to day lives really mean nothing. Let alone a lot of us getting caught up on the current state of our football side, it’s sad it takes tragedies like this to realise what is really important in life.

I am sure the club will get around Brad & his family and provide the support needed

First condolences to Brad, his boys and the families, so sad to have your wife and mother to pass so young.

Well said JV7.

Terrible news and just so sad.

Sincerest condolences to Brad and family and friends.

So sad and tragic for a young family, not sure how you'd cope with such news

Appreciate every damn day you have with your loved ones and live every day to its fullest.

It’s a tragedy on a tragedy. Might be best done privately to a large extent but MFC need to step up big time.

Unfortunately our next proper home game isn’t for a month but maybe then or later in the year it would be wonderful to gather a lot of Daniher/Bailey era players for something for Brad and the family.

Thats horrible.   Such a waste.

RIP Anna.

His sons are the same age as mine.

I can't imagine what he is going through trying to explain to those boys that their mum isn't coming home.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

im speechless.  Brad seems like a wonderful guy.

so cruel

What can you say     Sympathies with his family,    so young !

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
