Too fat, too slow can't kick. I'm calling it right now BUST! Drop him and trade him.

THOUGHTS?

Edited by Grapeviney

You can’t just single him out.

We are collectively woeful right now and Goodwin needs to start earning his money.

Give me McCartin any day. Even with how rain would have given him concussion today. Still has more heart than him

Wish I could change my display name .   Very lazy footballer with no tank.  Also cant kick.  So disappointing.

Trade. Cut your losses. Don’t wait until he has no value like Watts.

Bingo.

Trac aint the problem.  He is out of form for sure, as evidence by some of his errors tonight, but the issue is so much more around how we are playing at the moment in terms of our game style.  Chris Scott out coached us big time tonight.

He’s had a mare.

Drop him and get rid of him at seasons end.

I think that time has already passed. Only club that picks up players with no heart, no fitness and horrible skills is the one putting him up for trade!

Dogged it a few times and gets front and centre when he is a one on one contest.. should have stuck to BBall- could be Ben Simmonds boot keeper still

Put him on the wing and tell him to play like dipper a fat Italian who could actually play.

Need to have football basics drilled into him. Whether that’s VFL or AFL level I don’t know. He just makes far too many fundamental mistakes with the basics of the game. His strength and power are impressive, but aren’t utilized in games and therefore become irrelevant.

He needs to drop five kilograms and have a stint at Casey.

He needs a stint in the twos. Needs to learn to be a team player

Pretty easy, take the tack off the end

You can

He needs a genuine kick up the [censored].

he plays like a guy who was just that much bigger then the other kids as a junior and believes his own hype in the way he gets around but has been found wanting playing in the big time amongst grown men

seems to just wait for things to happen and doesn’t go anywhere near hard enough or with any purpose or conviction.

a spell at Casey might do him good but a reinvention ofhis body shape could be in order.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
