Where the [censored] is Viney? Your a Captain ffs!

Viney is strangely quiet

They're being very physical on Max, jumping into him at every opportunity, knees and boots first.

You're in fine form today, dazzle.  We're two quarters into a new season and you've already burst a few blood vessels.

Lucky to be only 3 points down we couldn’t have played any worse, if goody can’t turn this around we are in trouble port are still at $2.95 just rediculous odds

Viney looks well underdone. Gawn looks cooked halfway into the first game. Petracca, Spargo and Hunt are struggling to get involved.

We’re missing too many kicks, including inside 50, and when we turn it over they have too much space and too much marking power (anyone who didn’t already appreciate how badly we need May should know by now). And we’re too slow (by foot but mainly with decision making) when trying to get it out of the backline.

The first 15 minutes looked excellent so if we get back to that faster, more direct football then we should be able to improve and regain the lead, but if we stay doing what we did that quarter then we will lose and lose poorly.

Preuss needs to come in to support max. Port are just getting into him, niggling him, even the young players are.

Yes - even their first year players are mouthing off at him.

[censored] pathetic Melbourne! Nothing has changed over the summer!

We are so slow and have gone into survival mode.

They did release that video.

Lol... welcome back to GameDay Demonlanders

Way too quiet for too long. Lull periods are going to happen I get it, but this is the area that must improve. We seem to have to be bang on with contested ball all the time.

how good is the fritter ,closest thing i have ever seen to bobby

Seen this several times before during last season. Kick the for first three goals quickly then fall to pieces.

Too little from too few. Thanks May for being an idiot and not out there. Fritter, all class and Corey Wagner a pleasant surprise. Hunt is hopeless. Weid is on the Weed.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
