Best wishes Dom, hope it works out for you.

Very happy about Preuss, but probably in minority when I say I didn't want Tyson to go.

He certainly had his limitations, but I think a lot of his good work went unnoticed and unappreciated.

Anyway, he's gone now and good luck to him.

I wonder who joeboys 'same three words regardless of actual performance' player will be now....

Well done to Dom. Still remember our win interstate against Adel in the difficult years where he kicked a late goal for the dees. Gave us hope when we needed it and will be remembered fondly

All the best Dom.

Agreed 'D1858'.

Thanks Dom for the massive chance you took coming to us in difficult times and giving your best as we grew this club culture and list.

Even if i wanted you to move club's, since we have grown our midfield... I totally respect your efforts and commitment to the Dees and the AFL game.

I truly wish you well and hope you have a lengthy career with the Roos.

Thanks again to a loyal club player...  all the best Dom.

Thank you for your contribution Dom.

All the best with North.?

This is my favourite trade week.

Thanks, Dom.  Think this is a big win/win.  We fill an urgent need, clear some cap space and gain a later pick that might help us either bundle up or sweeten a deal.  Norf gets a midfielder to play inside that improves them.  A good example of how trading should go, rather than the Bell End method.

Came to us on a low point and I’m glad he got to play 3 finals after all that work.

Well done to all for this trade. Best for everyone.

I think Dom Tyson was unfortunately left behind with the development of Clayton Oliver last season and this season Angus Brayshaw and James Harmes.

With the return of AVB and Petracca's involvement in the center square.

With his development stagnating he became a player the MFC could trade and get someone like Brayden who will now be backup and possible 2nd ruck in some games.

From what I've seen/heard you couldn't get a better bloke to be around a footy club and it looked like he'd built some good relationships with seemingly everyone at the MFC. Sad he couldn't crack the 100 club game mark after coming to us when we had barely any redeeming features except a coach who showed some faith and went after Dom. He definitely helped to bring our inside midfield game up to AFL standard in the early Roos years from the basket case it was prior to that.

Found himself on the outer a bit this year, both figuratively and literally, and struggled to break back in despite playing 17 games. Battled manfully through injury setbacks and interrupted pre-seasons and I hope he can find a clean slate at NMFC and reach the potential he showed for us back in 2014-15.

Go well Domma.

Best of luck Dom, very important player to us when he first came on board.

Hope it works out for him at North

Good move. Message to rest of the group that you need to earn your half a million a year.

Yeah... I think this is a win/win. hopefully.

We help find Ty another home and contract... & we get something back, to help us as well.

I also hope Big Peurssy goes in hard, for the RednBlue, in 2019.

Dom was really important for our young side when he came over from GWS and was arguably our best inside mid. He showed alot of character to work back into form playing in a position he isnt ideally suited on the wing. Hope he plays alot of games with North over the next few years and finishes a 150-200 game player.

The ‘message to the group’ is that we will be honest with you about your role at the club and that we will facilitate a trade to a club that sees a more preferred role should you not agree with how we see your future.

I know it’s not a ‘bumper sticker’ of a message but it’s more preferable and accurate than your ‘earn your wage ya bums’ slogan...

Always loved and had admiration for this guy. Came at day one of a huge rebuild. You have to love a player like that. The move makes sense, but still sad to see him go.

Bang on. The message will 100% be about loyalty.  We will do the right thing by you instead of holding you to a contract to the detriment of your career.

We did everything we could to reinvent him in a new role when younger players went past him, but he couldn't quite nail the role. As a result, we found him a deal that suited him (he refused GCS) so he got opportunity, and got agood outcome in return. Only 94 games, and he'll probably play more than that in 6-7 years at North, but he'll be welcomed back when ever he drops by.

Hopefully he has added strings to his bow from the positional experience this year. At 25 he has along career star of him at north, likely as a starting mid in 2019 at least,  and I wish him the best.

Wish Dom all the best.

But not Norf - just so annoying.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
