I reckon TMac and Brayshaw stiff to miss.

Given Brayshaw’s played more games than Viney I’d imagine he’ll poll better. I was about to say if it’s maximum 5 per team then fair enough but Geelong get seven (most of any team). Someone wanna explain that to me?

I'm not sure but maybe captains get an automatic invite.

Pretty sure this is correct, as they were making a big deal about Lynch not going for the Suns

most teams have 5. captains and past winners automatic selections. Danger Ablett and Selwood all  auto selections then they have 4 others. we have 2 captains hence 3 other invitees

I suspect captains and past winners get an automatic gong. Geelong has two winners and Richmond one which seems to be a possible explanation why they have seven and six respectively?

I dare say it’s due to the fact we could be playing in a Grand Final and they want all captains there from the remaining 4 teams so Bruce can creep up behind them and whisper in their ears..

I did consider that, so I guess they place them as separate to the usual invitees then.

If anyone has a barcode to the Brownlow they are not using can you PM me?  I especially want to sit next to some wag with bad eyesight.

You taking the captaincy off N Jones at the end of this season?

I would, but I'm a bit suspicious that you might be a Carlton supporter looking for a cheap ticket to the draft instead.

Can you provide proof?

Gus will be our 3rd highest vote getter and poll double figures easily.  Surprised he wasn't invited.

Let’s hope our invitees are drinking water on the night.

Well that just says so much about what a joke the AFL is.

Neville Jetta is one of 4 nominees for the Stynes Medal, also presented on the night, he isn't going to get that award though because he isn't invited. Of course the other 3 are. I'm sure the people making these decisions aren't racist they probably just don't care.

The AFL - an organisation of idiots led by an incompetent fool.

As long as he keeps it to just that. We're in the era of #metoo. Bruce wants to be careful.

Geelong Richmond & Hawks tables will need extra security for that reason.

Without looking at any predictors or form guides im tipping j.hogan 3 votes to jump out of the blocks early followed by c. Oliver 2 votes then when the media were all over the aa ruckman the umpires will realize they shouldn't be handing out votes because they struggle with the job they have and have no clue how to judge footballers and just vote for the midfielder they see get the ball most so will jump on the media hype and the leader board will finish m.gawn 3 votes c.oliver 2 votes with razor fan boying  over a.brayshaw 1 vote after the low five. T.Mac will be referred to as Tomald once more by a channel 7 former player battling early onset dementia caused by concussions (was it bt or frawley? If anyone is affected or family member affected by this terrible disease please dont take offence or personally, it is intended as light hearted) Fooling all channel 7 big wigs he is popular and deserves more air time and we will return to calling him Tomald and he will probably pip j.hogan for 4th with hogans strong start holding onto 5th.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
