Well this should be interesting.

Pretty brave effort for him to appear on this show,  I doubt Mike will go easy on him. I didn't think he'd be sighted ever again.

I didn't see that coming.

just in time for finals.. thanks dikflop (neeld n sheehan)

Why oh why would it be this week. I know it's relevant now but surely they'd wait till GF week for maximum negative Fugazi impact on this club.

McLardy and now Neeld. Why do people feel the need to dredge up this sht from the past....

$$$$$$$$$ and ratings.....and just maybe an attempt to derail us.

This will have absolutely no bearing on how the team prepares and plays.

Heres a thought... Don’t watch it.

Yep, won’t watch it. Might watch it online in the off season if I feel like I but highly doubt it.

Fucken scummy journos bringing up all this shite in the lead up to the game can eat a bag full and jump off a building.

MudDogs you are some kind of graphic artist, that is a special piece of work there.

The way the fox halo hovers over Mikes head is remarkable. A deft hand, hard to see how you did that.

Yeah, ill be avoiding this.

Too many painful memories.

"You can have the greatest plan in the world, but some days the [censored] hits the fan".

What an absolute, utter peanut he was.

I won't be watching this.  There is no need.  Nothing he says can justify or change what he did to the club in his time there.

Ill watch it, i want Mike to make him squirm.  being a Melbourne supporter i expect him too.  Happy to report back for those who don't want to watch it.

How about the favorite questions we'd like Mike to ask him?

Ive got a few.

1. Do you think sacking the ENTIRE leadership group in your first pre season was wise for a rookie coach

2. Do you think your complete and almost total lack of emotional skills in any way impacted your capacity to inspire?

3. In hindsight, given you were the worst coach in living memory, do you think  you were merely part of Mick Malthouses grand attempt to shore up his own reputation by recommending you as one of his assistants.

4. What do you make of the fact that the  bombers suddenly started winning when you left?

5. Are you in fact really just an undercover Collingwood operative..sent to rival teams to destroy them?

I think this will be interesting. Id love to hear his side of the story on how his relationship was with some of the players.

Look when he came to the club I thought great, he has been under mick, been part of a premiership team and had other credentials. I just think our list wasn't that great at the time and he was asking to much.

I also think some of these players couldn't handle being yelled at or maybe didn't like what they were hearing.

Im sure Mike will ask him about the 2 young captains as well.

But being at essendon will feature a bit as well.

An Essendon supporter told me this week that they attribute their poor start to the 2018 season to Neeld.

They sacked him then won 10 out of 14, he said.

Nothing, I repeat nothing good will come from this.

Great coach just went to the wrong team, nothing was his fault, players were turned against him by inside forces, secret forces unnamed faceless people.

Some other time perhaps. Not this week.

I'm not defending Neeld, I didn't like him from his first presser when appointed but it's never just one man.  The whole club was toxic and divided and the list was terrible.  He put the explanation mark on a terrible period.

Nobody at the Club intended to hurt it, they were just out of their depth.  I'll watch with interest, it's part of our history and just highlights the strides we've made and the wonderful contributions of all involved since PJ was appointed.

But IMO it's time to put the knives away for the Stynes/McLardy era and enjoy our growth both on and off the field.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
