Love the ox, that was great to see.

He flew the flag in the 2000 GF against a nasty pack of thugs, when others wilted.

Would have loved to seen his reaction as a player last quick when Fritsch got dropped by buddy!

COME ON KENT!!!

so many desperate people yelled the same.

Classic

That was good to see. Must admit it puzzled me how he could get Kent mixed up with Hibberd ?

Probably polished off about 17 stubbies under the duress of the previous 118 minutes like a lot of us.

Thanks Mrs Ox, much appreciated.

Don't know why, but it always seems strange to see a player/former player cheering like a regular Joe.

Great viewing. Hope he gets to cheer a finals victory also.

I was fortunate enough to be seated next to the late Robbie Flower at the MCG about 10 years ago and was similarly astonished to see the ‘great one’ going off his head as vehemently as me?

Love the Ox.

While he can let the mouth run before the brain on the odd occasion, I'll never doubt his contribution to the club nor his love for it.

His wife secretly filmed it without knowing..

So bloody good!

I was at the game, I almost through my son into the crowd from excitement

I'm so grateful there wasn't a camera filming me in the last 5 minutes. The men in white coats would have been at by door in 2 seconds flat.

Love the Ox pretty much tipifies what we were all feeling.

In my eyes this is perfect parenting. Doesn't get any better than this - celebrating a win for a team you gave your heart and soul for and having a son who seems to have similar passion.

Does he have any official rôle in the club?

Would he make a good forward coach or even goal kicking coach?

Could he maybe help eliminate Jesse’s stuttering run up with resultant improved conversion rate?

Thanks for bumping this. I have been in the air for the last few days and would have missed it.

So special .... just wonderful

This thread doesn't belong on the second page this week, time for another viewing people.

I can’t wait/hope I get to enjoy the Dees  winning with my nearly 3rd old and 7 week old boys. Oldest is a 3yr member, youngest is a 1yr member.

Mr 3 has been to a few games now and whenever sport comes on tv he shouts “the Go Dees”, and “we went to the Go Dees daddy... there was a helicopter, big planes and trains” with no mention of the loss to St Kilda.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
