Hehe, I found a box of LEGO that I kept from the 80s and unleashed that on the pests... I mean children the other day. Then I jumped on eBay and bought up a few vintage sets that I always wanted as a kid and never had! Did I take it too far good doctor Dee?!

Living vicariously through one’s offspring is a parent’s prerogative. Especially when it comes to Lego and brainwashing (I mean influencing) in regards to football. My girls favourite songs right now are ‘Happy Dog’ by Justine Clarke and ‘Grand Old Flag’.

It’s a good thing Oscar isn’t playing on him then.

The tonic for my Game Morning nerves has worked a treat since the Geelong game.

Find a song and let it repeat for 5 hours.

Mine is High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco.

Hoping for another decent lead at the first break and making the Swans chase the rest of the game.

No. This is completely normal. My kids are still on Duplo - can’t wait till they’re big and dexterous enough for real lego!

Mine wanted to see if mars was still up and where Venus was. Then the trampoline. At 6am. Now watching the PGA.

MCC predicting 49,000. Let’s make some noise and take back the ‘G’.

‘Harder you work more luck you will have’

surely we are in the luck category.

the boys will show up no doubt , lets hope the umps and footy gods are at least neutral today .

It’s  fair to say we are well overdue for a win against Sydney and Im feeling today is that day. Go Dees!!

My two are onto star wars Lego. It gets built and put on top of the fridge. If they behave santa is bringing the scale melinium falcon.

All these finals permutations are getting confusing. Remind me again, are we cheering for or against Sydney today?

So nervous.

This is the most important clash we’ve been involved in in a decade.

God help my heart.

Pretty clear the early game day posters have kids under 5. ?

Daring to believe we can get this done, lock a spot in the final-lys and start to hone our finals style game knowing that we’ll be there.

Hope it stays dry for the ladies.

Here in London , got the alarm set for 6.20 am. If we get off to a quick start , ill probably wake the neigbbours . If we get off to a slow start , I’ll probably wake the neighbors——. Have positive feelings about the result , we win by 18 points ??

Great challenge today. With the swans experience they know how to win these high pressure games and we generally don’t. Win this and it’s another step to developing the mental strength required to be one of the top teams.

I was at Big W Saturday and they were having a sale on good lego sets. One guy bought one of the lego train sets.?

Crunch time!  I'm very 'on edge', but I think we will stand tall.

My MFCSS is knocking down the door at a furious rate. I believe in 14 wins but maybe today will be that loss. I don't know.

Today won't assure us of a finals birth, but by crikey, it will go very close, especially after the Dogs upset the Roos in the curtain raiser to our game.

Dees by at least 1 point.

Had a dream midweek that we were down 44-1. I'm a tad nervous about how we start this game.

This is how big today is -

If we beat Swans and the Dogs upset the Kangas...  we are in the finals.

UNLESS...   Geelong win their last two by approximately 180 points combined, and we lose our last two by approximately 50 points combined.

Oh damn I just triggered my MFCSS.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
