Goodwin confirmed in his interview that both hogan and petracca will be named but will have to pass a fitness test on Saturday 

I'll wait for the final teams to be released tomorrow arvo before making a call on our chances.

No Hogan and Petracca will be a substantial blow to our arsenal.

Let's hope they pull up and can contribute to another win.

I think Hogan will play. Would have been pretty sore during the week. His fitness levels should be ok you would think with the 2 games in the shortened period.

I call BS on this.  He was always going to come back on - a rolled ankle can get needled up pretty quick when part way through a game, and a player can finish the game off.  It's the next morning when he wouldn't have been able to put any weight on it (after the juice wore off) that will be the test.

Personally, I wouldn't risk Hogan this week.  I'd bring in T Smith for him, and have the rotations of Smith/TMc/Weid/Gawn.

Will be just like Viney the following week.  Goody said the High Performance Team will have him ready for AFL footy, probably next week.  Well, given the track record of the High Performance Team, the player himself, and the opposition we will face (and where we face them), I'd sit Jack out for one more and bring him back against Carlton.

The MFC fitness/medical/ High Performance whatever are not fans of jabs, they can mask an issue

With the track record we have of mow taking no risks, Hogan would not have been allowed back on, let's see if he trains Saturday and what training, assume he will be named tonight with Goody announcing it at Presser

And the track record, they can't foresee setbacks with 44 individual physiologies

Another squad night and a bye at Casey so selections will not mean much until tomorrow night.

May test the theory of ... named other than on interchange.. definitely play etc. ( cannot recall if we ever decided that this is a rule or a convention).

Dropped by at training briefly today. I noticed Fritsch working with the mids with Gawn and Filpovic rucking against each other in boundary throw in simulations with 4 blues against 4 yellows trying to take the tap outs. The usual suspects, Clarrie, Jones, Viney, Lewis, Tyson, Harmes on the inside but Fritsch was playing an outside receiver role in the sims so maybe he will spend some time up on the wing? 

This group then moved to the centre to do simulated centre hit outs. For some reason a bloke carried a large step ladder and set it up near the centre bounces. What for I could not fathom. Anyway on about the third simulated bounce and tap down Clarrie ran into the ladder receiving a handball in traffic. The ladder was duly removed from the field??

Maybe the new bloodlines and their pace will see us through and bring the older hands into the game for a change.

Bad feeling about this one.  I think we'll be flat about the 2 games in 5 days and we will be carrying a few sore lads.  Saints will be fired up after being hammered in the media again.

That is good to hear regarding the philosophy of no jabs and no risks. 

Playing sore or injured has always been....well... a short-term response usually with long term consequences.

Nevertheless, I wonder about the wisdom of playing Hogan on the concrete like surface of the G Hard. 

Who are the key people on the Medical/HP team other than Missen.

I expect a Herald Sun story claiming that WorkSafe is investigating, the AFL has commissioned a secret inquiry (which Gill will deny) and that Oliver has engaged the services of Slater and Gordon. 

I don't want to look too far into the future only the next 3 games. St Kilda, Gold coast away, , no Tom Lynch and Carlton at the G away.

Assuming we win the next 3 games that will make us 6 wins 3 losses and Viney not far away or has played in  maybe one or 2 of those  games. That would be a great start to the season and on track for a finals berth.     Why not?  It can happen.

Also have heard the AFL have settled a harrassment  case on behalf of Petraccas dogs who accuse a Club official of indecent acts. A confidentiality   clause has been activated after the payment of several kilos of eye fillet.
