Good to see Hoges having some fun with the boys. Lord knows he's due for a long run of better circumstances.

Saw a couple of boys at listen out yesterday. Enjoying the off season I think

Oh yes so richly deserved!

Yeah right!

Get a grip, they need to unwind as well, not just from footy but from personal issues too.

Hope they have a good break and come back fresher and rearing to go for preseason

Players drinking and partying in the off season is a real non event. The demands of an AFL player are rigorous. Supporters can't expect these guys to keep it up 12 months of the year. If they go out and get sh*t faced then they are no different to anyone else. Human. Side note: I hope Gawn doesn't spew on Hogan.

Dance Party?

Outdoor?

Big Max was at the EFL GF yesterday watching Mattie Jones go round. He is a popular fella the big unit. Even the coppers were getting him to pose for selfies with them

As soon as Gawny said "I'm probably going to go for a run today" in his "I'm Shattered, We're All Shattered" video, I knew they didn't actually care all that much about being as good as they can be. "Probably going for a run" is something I do as a halfway fit IT student. A professional footy player should be a little more committed than that.

HOges looks like he's halfway out the door and on his way back to the West.  You can see it in the way he avoids his teammates.  :D

Hope they get an absolute skinful, shag themselves silly and come back ready for the pre-season.

Plenty women there Biff.

No need to shag themselves!

I did vote yes,but to suggest they go and shag each other is a joke.

Don't worry picket - I still luv ya!

Max was on barista duties at my local pilates studio/cafe this morning. Looked very tanned and relaxed. I do not drink coffee but my daughter told me his coffee was excellent!

Im glad they are relaxing and unwinding now.

Cause when they get back, its all; guns blazing.

I want that feeling of disappointment of missing out on finals to burn in their guts all summer long.

This was all part of their off season training regime. 'Boys get over there and see if you can set off a volcano.'

Hope they stayed away from the dog satay!'

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
