Anyone else pay the Membership package last week, and now feels cheated and angry at what happened over the weekend?

I have mine direct debited automatically which is lucky for the club because the inertia this club gives me leaves me without energy to go through the motions of rejoining or cancelling.

Yea lucky my membership pays by the month if I had to fork out for a years membership there is no chance I would be renewing, I should calm down by Christmas to not worry about it

I will rejoin in this category again in March or April next year. It will take me til about then to regain my equilibrium........ or go stark raving mad. Either condition will doubtless lead me to re-sign as a member. I think I'll be closer to the second.

Yes

I have never contemplated not joining up. I've been a member since I was 7 years old in 1989. If I decided to not buy a membership I'd decide to stop following the Demons altogether. Which will never happen.

Well done MD

Glad someone else feels the same way!!

Not yet.

The ridiculous thing is that I will never consider not signing up. I wish I could make a stand some other way but until then I'll keep on strapping myself for the one way trip to disappointment.

Paid MCC a week ago as I naturally expected the footy club to go deep into September!

And bugger me it isn't happening, but the poms are coming so I'll  enjoy that.

My MFC membership? Well maybe march or April when the sadness has subsided!

Yes, and I have asked for a refund. I wish I didn't care so much.

But I will pay the money again next year before the season starts like always.

Paid up MCC/MFC subs two weeks ago, like many others on here I was assuming this would be put to use at least once over the next month...

I'll reassess the MFC part come trade week now me thinks

The fact that we are here shows we care! Otherwise we would be off looking at Dior Frocks at the NGV or trying unusual Turkish ice-cream flavours on High Street or bowling a cricket ball in the nets or, or, or getting on with a slightly more empty life

Paid my Mcc this week.My Mfc can wait as lm to [censored] angry still.

I've been a member for nearly twenty years (supporter for fifty). For each of the past few years I've asked myself - why bother? Then I've looked at the clip of Robbie Flower - and I'm back in the saddle (or the chastity belt, or whatever it is)

Paid it a few weeks ago and every year I never hesitate to renew.  I've followed this club for 40 years and won't stop until I drop.  Yes, at times (many times) it can be torturous to be a member of this team, but you have to keep the faith, keep forgiving, keep buying memberships, keep turning up to the games and just keep supporting them.  That's our role, that's what we must do.

Paid it because whether I pay subs now or in 6 months time, I still have to pay them if I want to keep my membership.

Might as well have the option of attending finals matches if I choose to.

Not sure what the problem is?

Is there anything left for supporters to complain about this week?

Jack Watts cause global warming?  Nathan Jones contributing to Donald Trump's bad leadership of America?  Anything?

I've got three memberships and they'll be rolled over again this year.  Hugely disappointed about what happened on the weekend, but chucking in my memberships over it seems childish.

anyone know whether exclusive mcc mfc membership gives you presale access for finals?

Not sure, would depend what level of dual membership you have, I believe here is a premium MCC/MFC level or something like that? I think I read here yesterday someone who is a restricted member with the dual memebership who misses out on the ballot and MCC access to a grand final, terrible stuff.

The standard MFC/MCC membership gives you Priority 3 access to the Grand Final (i.e. back of the queue), while Premium MFC/MCC membership gives you Priority 2 access to the Grand Final.

There's no extra priority for other finals.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
