thankyou - Jayden Hunt - it has been tough over the last 10 years to get your kids to love the Demons.

Then along comes Jayden Hunt and the are now passionate Demons 100% on-board.

Who do your kids love?

I've indoctrinated my two year old to nod and smile when I ask her if she loves Melbourne, and to shake her head vigorously when I ask her if she loves St. Kilda, who my wife supports.

That's good enough for me at the moment!

My Daughter (13) has long been a Nathan Jones but is also rapt with Daisy these days. The 20 yr old Son is a big Max Gawn trajic and I am completely torn between my love of Jayden Hunt's speed, Oliver's handballing and nifty Nev Jetta for just being Nev.

I force my 4 year old boy to love the Demons.

If he doesn't, I don't feed him.

Believe me, it works.

The names 'Petracca' and 'Jetta' are addictive to little humans.

I was really impressed with how he lowered his eyes yesterday against St Kilda. He was hitting up the right target inside 50 where as previously he was pumping the ball long to 50/50 (or less) contests. I am not sure where he will end up however with his speed and improving composure he could become the 'outside' class that we are looking for to balance our midfield mix.

He was a lot better yesterday. It was the first time he didn't just bomb it long over and over. He was spotting up shorter passes to guys inside 50 which converted to scoring shots instead of 50/50 contests. If he keeps that up then he'll become an All Australian standard HBF or wingman.

Absolutely mate!

I must admit though that I'm as restrained as I can be - they have had the wood over us for a long time and her family has been pretty good about it, so I don't go too over the top.  I did watch the highlights with my daughter a few times and we had a few fist bumps and 'Go Dees' being said, so I'm pretty happy with that!

Apart from his obvious talents, I just love the kids confidence.

Beautiful to watch when he makes a run.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
