Just surprised the cats aren't getting "tired" yet toward the end of their games, and who coaches them again, ah, that's right.

Same at TWSNBN they won't get tired, they got a good coach too

Anyone else wondering if North are tanking?

They have rested/dropped Zeibell/Goldstein.  Now Tarrant is 'injured' in the warm up and a debutante is coming in.

I find the gifting a game to Ess nauseating.

A freebie win to drug cheats Essendon, and then North will bring all their best players back to face us next week.

That is a weird plan!

They have a better chance of beating Ess today than us next week:  We almost beat them in Tassie last year when Goldstein was BOG and is now struggling where ever he plays.  We took it up to them a few months ago and even North supporters say they won because they had a 19th player on their side who was dressed in yellow.

I would love that to be Scott's plan and watch it backfire spectacularly when we thrash them.  We are no longer someone's 'bunny'!

The conspiracy theorist in me says ... no.... it's just the usual MFCSS

Fascinating though in that we are only one of three teams North plays at Iceberg Park (Hobart). The others were Adelaide and GWS. Yet they played Eagles and Suns at Docklands.

Another example of our terrible fixture

Of course they are tanking...

The Suns must be the most underwhelming club in the league. Still, they knock off the Dogs and that's about curtains for them.

The only bright thing in that club's future is their name.

They really should relocate to Tassie.

It would save everyone money and give the Lions some chance in a really tough market

Bt actually bought it up on mmm. I don'tthink they are tanking.

Doggies home against the Suns  with a good win up north.

Hell that ladder around us is looking so crowded .

My analysis says we should hope for a draw between Saints and Swans tonight but failing that a close win by the Saints.

Keeps us one win in front of the Swans who would otherwise pass us on percentage.

You could make a case that a Saints loss is better but it's so close.

Not sure who I'm barracking for tonight - Swans or the Saints.  I don't think it matters too much though as I think the Swans might give them a touch up.

I am hoping for a tough encounter with numerous injuries / reports and a 1 point win to Sydney.

Saints won the flag the other day against Richmond. Nek minnut Callum Sinclair kicks 3 in a half.

Honestly, I can't see Sydney doing anything other than winning this year's premiership. They just do not look like losing now they have their best players back.

Hawks could do us a favour if they keep up their form.

Next two games are against Swans and Toiges.

Agree... Swans looking ominous and could easily end up 4th at the end of home and away

you make a good point but remember a few years back where the SA supporters didn't turn up for the first final because they were saving their money for the bigger finals to come.

Geelong will argue that the extra revenue from finals games is part of their stadium business case.

Other clubs should simply say ... ok but we want 50% of the seats offered to non Geelong members. If that were to happen the Geelong members would soon be screaming for the game to be moved.

That's exactly what would happen as the AFL owns the gates/stadium for the finals.

Is it all over for NIck. Watching tonight's game I have seen him get two hand balls.

And the Saints still rely on both of them, proving they are fools gold and a team going nowhere.

Also Callum Sinclair is gonna kick 10 goals on them.

Classic St.Failure.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
