Just arrived. At the moment warming up with kick to kick. Hoges paired with Frost doing pretty intense one on ones. Maybe indicative of what we might do at either end of the ground Friday night...

Garlett running boundary line away from the main group, as is jack Viney with Angus Brayshaw

Is Watts with the main group? How's his running looking?

Max and Pedo doing high marking practice running into each other with Viney kicking high balls to them. Pedo winning most of the contests but has just gone down with what looks like a hammy. Walking around a bit gingerly, but seems to be recovering - hopefully.

On the basis of Hogan hopefully playing, it's looking like we'll have Jones, Watts, Salem and Garlett out from our best 22. I don't include Brayshaw as he's only played in 2 of our 8 wins.

A lot of outs but we'll still be able to field a competitive side to win the game.

No sign of Watts.

I wonder why that would be?

He could at least be doing rehab on the boundary line with Garlett? Is he doing a secret fitness test?

Sounds like they are keeping him away from the cameras and maybe putting him through a fitness away from the group

Just back from training.  Salient points:

- no Watts for the entire session

- Garlett joined Jones for run throughs on the boundary for the whole session.  Practiced a few snaps at goal but you'd think unlikely to come up

- Jones quipped that his quad was feeling significantly better than the previous session

- Hogan participated fully in the whole group session

- Kent looked sharp and up and about

- TMac doing lots of goal kicking practice

- Joel Smith training fully with the main group

- Hunt looked a bit flat, Pedersen looked a bit sore

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
