Ok, as I'm reading this game, (optimistically), we're having our weekly 'go flat and give away a string of goals in one quarter' but have also managed to sneak a couple against the overall flow, so the damage isn't so bad.

Interesting little jab to the throat at Oliver...

Bet he doesn't get 2-3 weeks like Hogan and Lewis got

Standard shocking first quarter

We can't start a game for shlt !!

Cmon Dees

Zero awareness. Like none.

Putrid.

Our pressure is low. We look slow. Just dont look switched on yet.

Kangas by 25 5 min to go in the first.

How frustrating is being a Melbourne supporter lol.

Wow..

keeping staying classy to us long suffering fans Melbourne

I agree absolutely zero application. North will win this easy.

Sick of this yo yo crap!

Game Over lol

Not sure what it will take for Melbourne to actually back up a good win one day. So much on the line this afternoon and we come out like a pack of half-cooked spaghetti.

They also throw the ball more often and get away with it

Hope hunts ok, been no sight of him so far.

Should never have played..

One wonders whether their game day preparation/warm up is working for them. Perhaps needs a tweak or two?

Tmac needs To go back.

Kent, along with others, can't sustain intensity for 2 weeks in a row and for a player to be in the system for this long he needs to be able too.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
