30 seconds remain. Who is the genius that teaches these morons to kick the ball sideways into a dangerous position?

Salem, Viney, Tyson hold your head up.

Lewis been ugly.

Is Mark Neeld Coaching his team!!... we have gone backwards 3 years ... the guy can not coach

OUT: Goodwin

IN: Roos

No one near him ffs

Jordan Lewis.....[censored] off, worst effort I have ever (EVER) seen from a Melbourne player.

It was Wagners easily broken tackle. Lewis just knew his running ability, probably could've at least had a go though as you said.

Arguably the closest and most evenly matched season and we are still bottom 4 material.

If we come to play in the second half this is still winnable. But that was a truly awful half of footy.

That just looked like the efforts of headless rabble.

Kick it to a friggin target.

Seriously are we just cooked or what?

The ball is coming out of the forward line too easily. Garlett has done SFA as has JHK. It's just not good enough.

Terrible game. Bad skills, bad coaching, bad umpiring.

Hawthorn were obviously always going to come out hard after the hiding they copped last week, but for the first irstter and a half, we played like we were intimidated by the Hawks.  Really hoping we can play out the game like we were for the last ten minutes or so of the second quarter.

Even for someone as optimistic as myself, that was an absolutely disgusting half of footy.  Poor second efforts, bad decision making and turnovers all over the joint.  The Hawks apply the pressure, wait for the turnover and then smash us on the rebound.  It's as regular as clock work.  Don't even get me started on how poor our usage is going forward, Watts and Hogan don't stand a chance.

How we are only 5 goals down is a minor miracle and we will need to do some serious soul searching at half time to get ourselves back in the contest.  The only bonus is that they are already one down on the bench if we can hang around for long enough.

Have not given up on this game. We can win it from here if we play.

One positive we have played as bad as I've seen all year and we are still within 5 goals with a  half to play. Hopefully we have a similear response to the lack luster first half performance of last week and storm home.

Here's hoping.

We can win, but that was an embarrassing first half.

Oliver 17 disposals, 15 hand passes.

Amazingly we are winning the Centre clearances 7-3. Pity we absolutely suck as using the footy!!!

Are we really that slow or is there some other explanation for the Hawks players always having 2-3 metres spare on all of our players when they break forward.

It's called effort. They are running, we are waiting for the cheap ball thinking we are the greatest team ever. Just the usual from us. Also being horribly out coached doesn't help either
