Well since its a Sunday game MFC have an extended bench, so technically all of the melbourne boys on the bench could be dropped and by the rules of the game, Casey have to list all potential players who could play for Casey. So like I said, because melbourne have listed 7 on the bench with 3 to be dropped, Casey need to list all 7 of those players incase any of them get dropped to the 2's

I love your alliergance to your brother and your new hat.

However you've got to be a bit more outspoken against your old team to win me over .

Keep on tryin tho !

Brayshaw presumably was concussed despite the varying interpretations and versions coming out from the club.  Get well quick please.

And presumably NO MRP output from this amateurish body aka VFL thugs.

Great to see Wagner back

An astounding recovery considering the latest injury list posted in another thread had him with a shoulder and 11weeks away!!

The VFL Tribunal must be more lenient than the AFL MRP.

In the Jesse Hogan case the Carlton player developed headaches after the game (a symptom that might conceivably have been caused by another knock during the game or even from something else altogether) and played the following week but that was enough to put him out for 2 games.

Brayshaw was immediately concussed and went off. Now misses at least one game presumably as a result of the hit and the perpetrator gets 1 game suspension?

Well apparently it was an accidental clash of heads which caused the concussion and not a malicious bump/hit or anything, which is why he only got 1 week

Am hoping to get along for the match.  Can anyone tell me if we can use our membership tickets to get in?  If not, what's a ticket worth, and do kids get in free?

Thanks in advance.

Children under 15 are free.

Visiting VFL members are half price....

I showed my AFL Melbourne support and got in for half price at Willimastown a couple of weeks ago.

Reading however the 2016 ticket prices it seems that the discount perhaps only went to Casey members...

The good news is that full price is only $10

Thanks Jim.  Couldn't tell you the last time I went to a VFL game where I paid to get in!  I used to go to North Ballarat games and just jump the fence to get in!

It's a real fun experience especially walking onto the ground at the breaks and getting close up to the huddles.

Make sure you take note of the player numbers in KC's opening post on this thread (or buy a record) as the players wear different numbers from their AFL numbers.

Enjoy yourselves

That should be the next step in the transition from Casey Scorpions to Casey Demons to (hopefully) Melbourne Demons VFL/Reserves team. It will help build a stronger allegiance from supporters if the players wear the same numbers in the AFL and VFL competitions.

I agree it would be nice, but it's a tough one because the Casey stalwarts like Hutchins and Scott have to take numbers in the 50s.  The alternative would be to give them low MFC/Casey numbers when they come free e.g. #8.

It certainly helps to build recognition of the fringe players. Perhaps it could be phased in so new VFL players get 50 and above. It is a very difficult line that needs to be maintained in order to respect and incentivize the non AFL listed players.

Whole of group training is something I would like to see introduced at least on an occasional basis.

Agree.... Oscar Mac is the same number for instance....

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
