Yes and no, I know everything's great in hindsight but both North and us nearly beat the Cats. I tipped North last night as well.

Something the Saints are doing well is not hitting leads at 30-40m to have a shot and are going long to a contest and crumbing it with manic pressure. Something we have missed so much in the past two weeks obviously. One thing i've noticed the best teams do is restrict all but the most difficult angled 35-50m shots. Even though we should have buried Geelong with accurate kicking, they did not let us have very easy crumbed goals in the 3rd quarter.

I think Hawthorn did it a lot in their GF vs Freo and the prelim v Port, just close access to the corridorr and square and let the opponents have set shots from further out and miss if you're going to concede.

Saints in the same position we were vs Geelong at the end of the third quarter.  Gonna be frustrating if they roll them when we couldnt get the job done.

Has there ever been a team as soft and flat-tracked as the Eagles? They beat up on second tier teams at home with the aid of the umpires and get their pants pulled down when playing half decent opposition  interstate.

Saints are gonna lose, excellent for us.  As much as I hate Geelong they are gonna finish top 4.. still have many games left at the Cattery.

The question has to keep being asked: is St Kilda's game style sustainable for four quarters? They've got a young list, but if I was a St Kilda supporter, I'd be a little worried.

They had Geelong dead to rights in the third and have just stopped. Unlike our game against Geelong when we played a player down all day. We've been far more impressive than St Kilda this year and I think it's safe to say we've passed them at this point.

The other thing about St Kilda is a lot of their younger players aren't great decision makers. They're great if it's all run and gun, but as soon as they're faced with organised defence, they lack the Oliver, Petracca, Salem users.

Saints have a massive gulf between their top six and their bottom six- too many passengers to beat a quality team over four quarters.
