MRP for Hogan and Lewis

Featured Replies

Should get a bloody medal for punching a Carlton player and a free trip to a Los Vegas boxing Clinic, at the end of the year to put some power in your punch for next time.

Aren't there penalties for players that try to milk free kicks now? Well Cripps should be looked at with that weak effort.

Hogan might have a case to answer, but his opponent definitely milked it for all it's worth

Sad, I remember those days when not many of our players got reported. Was around the Bailey and Neeld days I remember.

Fair dinkum unbelievable.

Hogan's was just a little push.

Lewis' even less of a little push.

The only action from the last incident will be several $1,000 fines as a result of the subsequent wrestling action - worthy of Wrestlemania but we all know it's fake.

High to the head with medium force.

1 week to hogan

pederson to get a run

Lewis will get a week for contact to the head. Hogan should get off for bad acting. Soft free kick.

Open palm for Lewis. Fine at worst.

Hogan will go despite the obvious lack of force or intent. Hopefully just 1.

I tell you what the AFL better review the Blues as they clearly allowed 2 concussed players to keep playing. The League clubs are being fined chit tonnes of money for just the same.

From the footage both players were clearly knocked out and didn't even go off for the standard "how many fingers am I holding up, nah you're right mate" test.

Seriously Hoges in more trouble than Lewis, his looked like a clenched.

How many weeks for Dom Tyson for his hospital kick on Brayshaw?

Carless, high contact, medium force?

Who were they?

They both looked like closed fists to me which if they were means they'll be in trouble

Rowe should get a week for acting

Thought he must have been hit by a bus. Kid Cartable after the way his legs folded up after that tap. Complete stooging act to milk a free.

Hogan punched Rowe in the head. He has to go, and he should. Idiotic act. Lewis open palmed. Unless he's on a promise, should get off with a fine.

I was in the Ponsford today; Rowe took a dive.

Look at the TV vision. He didn't.

Lewis is on a 'promise' of sorts.  If he gets a week it becomes two as he has a carryover 'bonus' penalty which doesn't expire until sometime in May.

Both one week.

think you're right. Both low / medium impact to the head. Hogans looked like an open hand, couldnt see clearly but looked like Lewis had a closed fist. Both seemed almost incidental but both were effectively punches to the head.

Are these worth two weeks? No chance. That's what they will need to get to miss a week with a guilty plea. Fines for both.

Lewis didn't do anything it was Viney who pushed Cripps down. Lewis only tickled him afterwards.

The hogan one was just a little shove to the face. Nothing in it.

Yeh the Vince 'hit' was way worse ey mate...

Hogan punched Rowe in the jaw.

Lewis hit hardly looks any better.

You were very vocal (not for the first time) about the Vince incident last weekend and this is your response? Unbelievable.

I was vocal because he is a repeated offender time and time again and missing crucial games like today is not ideal. Bernie was missed today.

Get your facts right before talking trash.

Hogans gone... Very similar to the Tom Hawkins one last year. The vision of Lewis isn't so conclusive but wouldn't be surprised if he gets a week too.. Both absolute stupidity & let their frustrations get the better of them. Poor to have 3 players rubbed out in 2 weeks for similar stupid acts

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
