A reminder that when we played the Hawks, they were two games clear on top of the ladder.

We started their downfall.

In all seriousness, if we hadn't beat them, this final series would have ended up completely differently in terms of matchups.

And we should be very proud of that. Showed their vulnerability.

What do the Bulldogs do that makes them so good

They RUN and they handball FAST

When they have the ball they create space for the next in line receiver, ie they dont all run TO the ball. Most run away from the best receiver ....

When they dont have the ball they move in and crowd the ball and the likely next receiver of the opposition.

They are fantastically well coached. ,... An absolutely modern coach indeed

Good luck to them

Haha. Fantastic. I will definitely not repeat that on any other forums out of respect for the Dogs :P

We showed a blueprint on how to beat them when many other teams couldn't.

I took the stupid smiley out of my original post, as I was dead serious.

Against all odds knocked them off when they otherwise would have gone 3 games clear and finished on top.  We slayed the giant, finally after 10 years.  We got in their heads and filled their entire club with self doubt.

Clarkson tried to shrug it off after the game, but no doubt we rattled them.  And now they are done, hopefully for a long time,  and we will have a new premier.

Bulldogs win because they

1. win the contested footy

2. use quick hands (handballs) to a player in a BETTER POSITION

3. believe in themselves (Beveridge says we work on our strengths and stay positive)

4. pressure and tackling is not negotiable (discipline)

5. Bontempelli and Macrae ... midfield stars

I had a good chuckle to myself a few minutes ago thinking about Lewis' pathetic comments about how they didn't show up against us.

Would love to walk up to him and ask why his team didn't show up against the Dogs tonight. Deadset arrogant [censored].

I reckon both Sydney and Adelaide will destroy a slow, boring defensive outfit like Geelong. And I bloody hope they do!

Would love nothing more than to see this endless cherry-picking recruitment strategy from teams like Geelong and Hawthorn crash & burn.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
